Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on April 24, 2023We have stayed at this park several times. We paid $12 with our National Park Senior Pass. Regular price is $24 per night. It gets busy on the weekends, but is quiet and peaceful during the week. There is an abundance of deer and wild turkey in the park. All of the RV sites have electric and water hookups. The sunsets over Belton Lake are beautiful. Our only complaint is that the restrooms and showers need a little maintenance...not terrible, just not great.

This camp is on the river channel. Fishing is great. Campers next to us cleaned fish the evening we arrived and the next morning. Great 5G coverage with T-mobile. Bathrooms and showers were closed. Location is not well marked on the highway. You will need the directions sent from the reservation.

We stayed here to visit friends who live in Temple. Our site #28 had a great view of the lake, and the sites around us were nicely spaced out, not too close to other sites. Check in was easy and quick. We work remotely so cell coverage is important to us. Verizon and AT&T worked well, T-Mobile was very weak. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again whenever we're in the area.

We decided to stay here after receiving the Campendium email last week recommending it as one of the five for the week. We took delivery of our first RV on Saturday and after years of tent camping and sleeping in our minivan it was a treat to have a place with A/C and a bathroom. We actually spent a large amount of our time sitting outside our trailer instead of in it. We enjoyed the view of the lake from our site, even though we weren’t on the lakefront. Walking around the campsite with our dog was enjoyable and I had great AT&T service and was able to work from the site. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Friendly staff at entrance station. Nice wide roads and parking pads. Extra parking spot at each site for an extra vehicle. Nice spacing between most of the sites. Some are shaded and some have full sun. Nice sturdy shelter over each picnic table. Most sites are level. Some sites have a view of the lake and some don't. Electric service was good. Water pressure was 100 PSI so be sure to take your regulator.

We stayed here for 3 nights in late February, 2022 (cold!!!), and enjoyed our stay. We had rain so really didn't explore a lot. Loads of deer in the campground - lots of them just behind our trailer. Most of the sites are long and reasonably level. Loved the shade ramada (not that we needed it with rain and cold) and our view of the lake.
With our senior pass, we paid $12 for water & electric and there is a dump station.
Just a nice place all around!

Staying here now in Site #67. It’s very quiet & peaceful. (Well, except for the tornado warning we had last night. That was kind of intense. And also some military helicopters in the distance every once in a while.) Saw 12-14 white tail does very close to our trailer this morning, and later there were 5-6 bucks. The sites are spacious with covered tables, electric & water. Dump station is along the road. The restrooms are fine, but do not have soap or towels for hand washing. Bring your own. My husband used the men’s shower and he thought it was pretty good. The lake level is very low right now but I have seen some boats on it. I would definitely recommend this place.

This was the first place we stayed after we bought our trailer in 2021. On that stay we had stayed in the campground on the west side of the park, but we decided to stay at the campground on the east side of the park this time. We were not disappointed, although it was sad to see how much lower the lake was after the last 2 years of drought conditions. The park grounds are well kept and spring has sprung with the trees starting to leaf out and the grass is green. Great park and close to Temple if you forget anything. We camped at Cedar Ridge in a Travel Trailer.

Easy access, last part on Moffat Rd is a little bumpy, about one mile long. No one at the entry gate, drive to the campground gate and put in your code that was in your reservation. Lake was very low, so water was about 150 feet from site 66.
Cons: No laundry as stated in the amenities, it was taken out. Crowded on weekends.
Pros: Many deer in the park, they are almost tame. Watch for deer driving in on the winding road, they will stand on or near the pavement. Sites are clean and level. Close to Temple, TX for shopping, etc. No noise at all. Some sites close to lake. Most sites have a side spot to park your car. Electric and water worked well. Site was very level, blacktop with flush wooden curbs. No tripping hazard.
AT&T cell service was good, 4-5 bars of 5G. Streamed with no problems.
Overall another nice COE park.

ACE nails it again. Location fairly close to town, so cell coverage is acceptable (see picture).
NOTE: Rate is using America the Beautiful Senior Pass 50% discount
Easy to find/access. They send an access code in confirmation lest you arrive outside of 'manned' hours. There are two distinct areas, I think it was 1-40 and 40-80? The higher numbers seemed to have more water views. On either side, the spacing was good between easy to access sites. Water and electric good (30/50 amp) with a dump station.
Apparently no laundry - but this seems to be a recurring theme with ACE campgrounds.
Lots of deer wandering around. Sites are clean and level. Close to Temple, TX for shopping, etc. We even drove through to Branch Davidian Compound - that was (i think)( about 1 1/2 hours away. Very little noise, pretty dark/ Most sites have a side spot to park your car, covered table, BBQ and fire-ring. Boat launch ramps and fishing allowed (apparently)
