Owners are camp hosts and live on site, friendliest people you’d ever want to meet. Also a couple work campers/volunteers who are just as friendly and care about the upkeep of the place.
About 12-15 100 foot pull through and equal number of 100 ft back in spots, with plans to double the amount of each. 3 “Glamping Tents” and large grassy area near the bathhouse for tent camping. Several posts set up in grassy area for “hammock camping” (is that a thing now?). Picnic tables and fire pits at each RV spot and in various spots around the tent camping area.
Bathhouse with 3 woman’s bathrooms and 3 men’s bathrooms and three shower stalls. I was here 30 days April 10 - May 10 and bathrooms and showers were ALWAYS immaculate.
Each RV space has 50, 30 and 20 amp electric and water hookups. No sewer, but twice a week they come around with honey bucket and empty holding tanks for free. Also if needed, just let them know and they will come to empty your tanks before you check out. This system id even better than sewer hookup, because you don’t even have to mess with dumping. I go out hiking or motorcycling and come back in afternoon and everything has been emptied, they use their own “stinky slinky” so I never had to unpack mine.
RV’s are (were) $45 a night, but they have weekly and monthly rates.
Sundays there is free pancakes around the pool, $1.00 for bacon or sausage.
Saturday movie nights.
The community is great, while I was here there were 3 campground wide bbqs and potlucks.
This was such a great place I came back and am currently staying another 30 days. Wonderful area, Smokey Mountains, Cherokee National Forest, Nantahala’s National Forest, hiking, inner tube floats on the Tellico River, Whitewater Rafting on the Hiwasee or Ocoe Rivers. Great Wood Oven Bakery, Tellico Grains, in Tellico Plsins (4 miles down the road) and world famous Benton’s Meats in Madisonville, with the best bacon and wieners in the world.
Right off of Mecca Pike so can be some traffic noise during the day, but quiet and peaceful at night. No light pollution, million stars in the sky you can see the Milky Way here most nights.
