Had some concerns when first booking this stay, but pleasantly surprised. Old school, book by phone. Small facility with less than 30 spaces, but not a bad one amount them. Pulled in after dark and very pleased when daylight came. Highly recommend if you need a quiet over night stay.

This was just a one night stopover on our way to Sequoia NP. There was a rally going on so site choices were limited. The row along the entrance road had a few sites left but they were very sloped and it was tough for us to get level. Some of the remaining sites had very low tree limbs which the woman in the office commented on that the tree trimmers didn't do such a good job. The regular rate is $30 but with the Escapees 15% discount we paid $25.50. Even that seemed a bit high considering all sites are water and electric only. There is a dump station by the office.
The laundry room and bathrooms were very nice. Although it is adjacent to a small airport is it mostly glider planes so no real noise. No wifi but we had a good Verizon signal. It was fine for one night.

We stayed here February 2015 in a 30 ft gas Class A with towed. Water and electric hookups. (30 amp for us) Easy-access dump station. Very dog friendly. When we checked in, the staff gave us the Good Sam discount even though we weren't members at that time. The manager placed us near the far end of the campground (pull-through site) where we enjoyed gorgeous mountain views and quiet nights serenaded by coyotes.

If you enjoy airplanes and aviation, you'll like this campground originally built for sailplane enthusiasts. It's a basic campground (on par with your average State Park CG) with nice, scenic views. We walked over to the gliderport offices to pay, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Because of the cold weather (it snowed overnight), we used our own shower and bathroom, so no review on the CG's.

The weather turned, 50 mph gusts on highway 58, so we stayed 2 nights to wait for calmer weather. This gave us time to explore! Our families had aviation backgrounds so although no sailplanes launched due to the weather, we enjoyed being near planes and the familiar environment of a small, general aviation airport. It brought back good memories.

The access on paved then maintained gravel road is good, but for directions, call the office, first, as maps aren't as detailed as you'll need. The staff can guide you in.

We didn't inquire about WiFi as we used our Verizon hotspot for our tablets and phones.

Big rig and dog friendly. However tempting it might be, Fido isn't allowed to run free on the grass runway. A dirt area for long-term RV storage next to the campground gave our dog some off-leash time.

For families, there's not much for kids to do if you're staying more than one night. The public library in Tehachapi seems to schedule lots of activities so give them a call. There are nice restaurants in town and some venues to visit, but it was apparent this rural town is still trying to recover from the 2008 economic downturn.

We will stay here again, no question. The entire area is a gateway to the southern Sierra Nevada range, and it's a quiet, scenic place. Very green in early spring.

Watch for wind advisories, as it can get quite gusty. That's why there's a glider airport and huge windmills on some mountain sides to generate power. :-)

We stayed at MV RV Park for one night. Did not use the facilities but they seemed to be in good shape.

Nice pull through site (I think that they are all or mostly pull throughs), close to the small airport. This is a quiet place, not close to any busy roads.

Weather can be more extreme near the summit but when people are baking in Bakersfield or Mojave, this could be a good place for a cooler night.

Sites are gravel and have water / electric.

Only issue is the fair amount of foxtails which made it challenging for our dog.

At first glance, MVRP looks more like a really nice California rest area than it does an RV park. The grounds are well maintained with some grass plots and mature trees throughout the campground. The roads were easy to navigate even in my 42' + tow'd and the sites themselves are easy to access. All in all, a very clean, small park perfect for a quick over-nighter. If you're just looking for some down time relaxing in your rig, this place would be a good choice for that as well since there's so little to do in the area and it's very quiet with decent views.

A couple minor complaints: Our site was anything but level... our front wheels are off the ground at least 3 inches, and I still don't think I'm perfectly level. The 30' Class A two spots down is set up the same - front wheels dangling - but the 24' 5th wheel next door didn't even notice. Unlevel sites aren't at all unusual and that alone wouldn't stop me from coming back, but it's worth noting for others just in case leveling is difficult for your rig.

Also, because I didn't want to unhook my tow'd just for a quick overnight stay, I had to pull the nose of my rig slightly into the lane in front of us, and the rear bumper of our tow'd is slightly hanging into the lane behind us, so I'm just about as packed in here as I can get. (We're just shy of 62' total, so that tells you how long the spots are.) The problem is that the power pole is set well to the rear of the site and way off to the side, and my power bay is in the middle of my rig... my 25' power cord just *barely* reached. If your power bay is toward the rear of your rig, you won't have any problem. Others might wanna plan on bringing an extension.

We stayed here two night’s going and one night returning from a family visit for Thanksgiving in Yucaipa. We loved the peacefulness and openness of the setting. On the return trip I paid for my wife to take her first glider ride :-). We went back the next morning to the little cafeteria at the airport for a very nice breakfast.

We stayed here as a stopover enroute to Campo for the PCT. Traci was wonderful, great service. Make a reservation for summer. We were there on a weekday and they were full. Quiet with the wildflowers and hills as backdrop. Pull-thru sites with water and electric. They have a dump site. It’s way behind town so a few miles to gas, Starbucks, etc.

Really enjoyed our one nite stay. Easy and freindly check in. Location not too far from Hwy 58 but close to town and far enough away from highway and train noise. There is a small airport next to park but mostly used for gliders. Had breakfast at airport cafe food was ok but wait for food was pretty long. Nice to watch gliders take off. Will stay a little longer to explore area.

We stayed one night on our way east for a long road trip. Beautiful views, quiet and clean campground, did not notice any long stays, hook ups where easy and gravel pull through site was convenient, Spaces are kind of close together but not an issue because campground was not full.

Bathrooms and other facilities were closed because of Covid. Did not use dump station.

We booked in advance. No one was staffing the office because of Covid but our reservation information was posted in the window. All in all it was an easy touchless check in/check out experience.

10 min driving to fun local mountain biking trail system, https://www.tehachapitrails.com/.

We would definitely stay here again.

Nice and quiet here. We're next to a glider airport. It's fun to watch the aircraft. There are also coyotes and squirrels to watch. The Tehachapi Loop is also only 20 minutes away.
