We randomly picked this park while in the area, and absolutely loved it. It's not open in the winters, and when we arrived in mid-April most of the sites were empty. In fact, there were only 4 RVs there.. and each had their own section to the park.
The camp hosts were super friendly and let us go select whatever site we wanted. It was a hard choice - there are so many great sites here offering space, views and privacy. We ultimately selected #21, which had a hill of wildflowers and a picnic table overlooking the lake.
The trail runs all the way around the campground, and has many access point - great hiking here.
A lovely stay for a few nights, and exactly what we needed to decompress after big city life in Austin for a couple weeks.

On our Sept 2017 RV trip we spent three peaceful nights camping at Taylor Park on Granger Lake. Located about 30 miles east of Georgetown Texas and just 10 min north of Taylor Texas, Taylor Park is truly a hidden gem for RV camping.
Located on the banks of Granger Lake opportunities for fishing and hiking abound while camping in Taylor Park.
I was very surprised by the small number of campers in this great park on a beautiful weekend in Sept. Taylor Park is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. I just happened to stumble upon this great park quite by accident and am so glad that I did!

The campground host was very rude and Had it not been so late I would probably have driven on. We decided to stay and the sites are nice, level and clean. Nice playground .

Hosts were great. Park very quiet and on lake. However, no maps show how to access lake swim area. Found a few unmarked trails that get you to the water but... However, I will add that it appears to be a paradise for boaters.
