We camped in May before reservation season. Sites are smaller (like most state parks) and include fire ring, picnic table, lantern hook and bear box. Tent/canvas trailers need to use bear boxes for food. There is ample shade throughout the campground. Bathhouses were clean and within easy walking distance from all sites. Dishwashing stations are available at each bathhouse. Several
sites are tent or tiny RV only - pay attention to size when reserving. Some sites in the front loop have water and electricity. Pets are not allowed in the middle of the campground. The campground has decent WiFi too. This campground is quiet, but close to all DCL has to offer. We will definitely stay here again.

Verizon cell coverage was "Roaming" or "Extended" so higher Data rates may apply. Used a WeBoost Amplifier with a Yagi and was able to get work done. AT&T appears to be the clear winner here.
The WiFi was good in the loop with electricity....No WIFI in the other remote loops.
The WIFi seemed to time out after a period of time (I guess about 30 minutes, but I did not measure it)
I would have to re-attach via WIFI, and it was often several minutes before it would actually allow internet traffic again.
They were doing construction in the Discovery center parking lot, and as crazy as this might sound, it seemed some piece of machinery used in the construction might of been blasting RF noise... There were many times during the day, that I could connect WiFI to the Access Point, but absolutely no internet, and this would go on for long periods of time. Then later it would work...At night, it did work, and during the middle of the night it was great!

Our rate includes senior discount. We had planned on staying at the nearby Swallow Falls campground but preferred this one due to nicer feel and the big plus was cell signal. No Verizon for us but AT&T worked great. We were fortunate to have the campground mostly to ourselves. The rangers were nice and informative. The office staff was cordial as well. Unfortunately it was a little noisy due to construction nearby at their Discovery Center. It also seems you get road noise from the main road that's not far away. We liked that the bathhouses were clean and the showers had plenty of hot water. And we liked that we could walk to the trails directly from the campground. Oh and the office sells ice cream! Were we to stay again we might opt for the "no pet" loop which though it has no hookups seems quieter and the bathhouse more recently renovated. And lastly our site was level enough for our 20' campervan.

The campground is beautiful with spacious, wooded sites. The sites appear to have been recently updated and is the cleanest we have ever seen. The gravel was raked and not an ash in the fire pit. RV sites have a gravel pad, fire ring, table, bear box for food, and electric only. Fill up water tank before you go through the gate. Campground is sercued by a gate with a keypad 24 hrs. The lake with a beach is an easy walk across the road. Access to sites is tight and might be difficult for big rigs. Google maps will try to bring you in on Toothpick Rd. Avoid that, the name says it all, and use State Park Rd. Still tight but doable.

…which was much, much larger than others. We had maybe 30’ between us and the actual campground host, and nobody behind us.
I never saw a WiFi signal, and my 2 bars of Verizon LTE were perfect for showing an endless loading signal on any web page I tried to open.
A two night minimum, when we only had one night for our stay, meant we paid $82 for a spacious, full hook up site that we didn’t use to its max capabilities.
Favorite moment was when a guy from a site across the street came over and started washing his hands at our (unused) water hookup. His kids and wife, later, at least asked for permission, which we were more than happy to grant.

We arrived, and the check-in process was easy. We had an electric site. We had plenty of room for our 27-foot TT in the site. Sites had plenty of space between them. The camp area and bath house were spotless and well maintained.
Verizon, we had zero bars, but AT&T worked well with four bars, but data was sluggish at times.
