“An Exceptional Place!”
Located on the banks of North Eagle Lake, the second largest natural lake in California, Mariners Resort is a beautiful and fun place to come and play on the water or just kick back and enjoy some relaxation time. You can fish, ski, bring your Sea Doo, drag the kids behind the boat on their knee boards or inner tubes, plus you can have a picnic on the sand and enjoy the sun and watch the kids play. You can even rent a party boat and cruise the shores of Eagle Lake. With over 42 square miles of secluded crystal clear water, it is the Natural home of the famous Eagle Lake Trout which grows to enormous proportions. At North Eagle Lake, Mariners Resortwe invite you to come and try your luck and fishing skills at capturing this majestic creature and have an experience that you'll tell all of your grandchildren about forever or bring them along and let them make their own memories. There is also an abundance of wildlife that makes the lake their home. Wonderful animals like, the Bald Eagle, deer, water fowl, and many more make the local environment come to life all the time. This makes for excellent photographic/sightseeing opportunities.
Mariner's Resort was the perfect spot for us to spend the night on our way to Oregon. The campground has recently been renovated and was meticulously maintained by the caretaker/manager. The facilities were clean and open for us to enjoy. The campground itself was wooded, quiet, and well-shaded. We were there in our 35' 5th wheel. The lake itself suffered a severe drainage and the area is sort of like a ghost-town. I hope this area can make a comeback and be the thriving destination it once was. But this campground in particular makes the stop worthwhile.
