Location - In the middle of nowhere! But sometimes that is a good thing. The RV park is a short walk from the Ana Reservoir and Ana River. If you walk to the boat launch of the reservoir and then take one of the dirt paths to the river, you are treated to an oasis in the desert.
At times, it can be windy here. This is open desert country with no trees to act as wind breaks.
We saw lots of birds at the Summer Lake Wildlife Refuge. There is also good bird watching at the RV park. The owners have placed lots of bird houses around the property which attract many birds.
Dinner at the Summer Lake Lodge was great. It's a country restaurant with good food and friendly staff.
Access - Easy access about a mile off of Highway 31.
Cleanliness - Very clean campground and facilities. The owners Jay and Connie live on-site and put a lot of effort into running a nice RV park.
Site Quality - There are 24 sites with 16 full hookup and 8 partial hookup. Sites are gravel and mostly level. There is a grass sitting area between each site with a picnic table. Not a large area, but good size for an RV park.
Noise - The campground is very quiet. There is some road noise from an occasional vehicle driving by on the road beside the park.

Good location for visiting Christmas Valley, Fort Rock, and other natural wonders in this part of Oregon. The owners are a part of the community and the feeling is friendly and welcoming in the park and the surrounding area.
As more people find this gem, reservations are probably a good idea in the summer months.

Love this hidden gem in the Oregon Outback. Owner Jay is an amazing host, he truly enjoys people and loves to share his vast knowledge of local trails and folklore.
The park is immaculate throughout, and the drinking/fresh water is probably the best I’ve ever experienced. Many great features, group fire pit with wood included, spotless fish cleaning shack, teather ball, and friendly nearby sheep! Close walk to the reservoir and easy access to Jeep/ATV trails.
It’s usually nice to be “unconnected”, but I sure wish there was wifi available for planning ahead on the road and for checking in with family.

Great park to day trip out of exploring this area of Central Oregon. We were here 3 nights and enjoyed this clean, quiet park. It’s a little desert oasis. Very friendly and helpful campground owners that work extremely hard to keep their facilities clean and tidy. Easy walking distance to the reservoir or super short drive. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Really lovely RV park in an open valley with mountains to the west. Reservoir the the south. High desert views every direction. Was pleasantly surprised that wireless was good considering how remote we are.

This little park is so quiet you can hear coyotes at night and not much else. There is green grass between sites and apple trees at some. The restrooms/showers/laundry room were reasonably clean and the showers were hot with good pressure. The desert was so beautiful in fall and the little reservoir was just a 10 minute walk. We drove down with our tandem kayak and had the whole thing to ourselves for a lovely late afternoon paddle. The place was filling up as we left with hunters for the start of the season October 1st. They seem to have a nice cleaning facility for your harvest.
Great cell service on Verizon.

Not much to add to other reviews. We came here to relax and slow down a bit. Definitely high desert area with reservoir in walking distance. Did a little exploring. Be sure to bring groceries and needs with you as there is only a small general store close. Propane and diesel available at general store. Owner was friendly and helpful.

There are plenty of things to do, but if you want a place to relax, this is the place. Fish, stargaze, hike, kayak - it's all here to too. Hosts are great, facility is clean and very well kept. We will continue to come back as we always enjoyed the park and the area.

We stayed here for a week and it was great! We met both the manager and owner of the park and they were super nice and helpful. Sites were level, spaced well and had a good amount of room. Appreciated the ability to do some extra laundry at the facilities. It is a little out of the way and there aren’t too many places to get groceries or gas but there is one general store nearby that had some good necessities. We would recommend to anyone needing to stay in that part of the country.
