Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 09, 2023We stopped over at Sugar City RV Park on our way to Grand Teton National Park. From the second we entered the RV park we had nothing but a positive experience. This was just a quick stop, so I had no expectations. It is an easy, convenient exit. The camp hosts were very nice and welcoming and even walked us 2 spots over to our camp site. The park is tidy, clean and very quiet -we even slept with the windows open and didn't hear a peep! There was plenty of room for my dog to take a few walks without invading anyone's campsite. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip down and I highly recommend this RV park!

I have never considered boondocking in the past 7 years but after our stay in Sugar City RV parking lot, I will in the future.
Jim is very friendly, maybe a history in sales I don't know but he wanted to charge me $1500 for a month when I called to make reservations several months ago but reduced the price significantly when I said no thanks, so I ended up making reservations.
The park is nicely located for a base camp to explore eastern Idaho as well as Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
Supplies and everything can also be found close by in Rexburg or Idaho Falls.
Important tip: keep your windows closed when parked here and run the AC even on cool mornings to protect your RV from water damage.
There are no amenities the small strip of grass in between the gravel rv parking lots is unusable as it of course needs to be mowed and they string water hoses and sprinklers at any given time to shoot water at the side or top or under the slide of your rv.
One cool (50 degree) morning I had the windows open ( my phone said no rain in the forecast) I heard rain on the roof and side of the rv so I went to shut window a little late that day and a half (about 36 hours) sprinkler placed at the front corner not even in the grass shooting at the side and top of my rv I got pretty wet when I went outside but they shut it off in a day and a half. One day they put a sprinkler UNDER the slide of the nice 5th wheel next to us, I don't understand what motivates people to do that but after that we canceled additional trips to Yellowstone and Tetons and pulled our slides in if we were going to be away any length of time to get grocery's or anything.

Host met us at the gate. Super nice man. Sites are close but nice plot of green grass between. New park still being worked on. No frills but good place for a stopover. Watch the street signs to get there. Not real easy to get here if you miss the turnoff. We would stay again
