“the loveliest lagoon”
Bathtub Beach of Florida, in Stuart, has always been a favorite beach for families (and locals) because of its clear waters and soft sand - and the coral reef right off shore is amazing for snorkeling and scuba diving. The reef also breaks the waves and makes the water super nice and calm – ideal for little ones who love to splash and play at the water’s edge. But it was closed for several months to make some needed improvements. Now, Bathtub Beach in Stuart, FL is new and improved - and open again thanks to the makeover it received from Martin County. There are newly planted sand dunes and sea oats that will help protect the beach hopefully for years to come along with 35,000 cubic yards of sand. Never heard of Florida's Bathtub Beach? It’s in Martin County on the south end of MacArthur Boulevard on the northern tip of Hutchinson Island. It’s even been featured in National Geographic magazine! The cool thing about Bathtub Beach is that it’s like a lagoon near shore yet the reef is fantastic for divers, too. Even windsurfers and kite boarders like the action the reef creates. So, next time you’re looking for the perfect beach to visit with your family, check out Bathtub Beach in Florida - and yes, it’s as warm and serene as your bathwater at home.

It's nice here. It was pretty busy when we arrived. Ppl do leave their trash there. Very inconsiderate to nature. There's no life guard on duty. Read more
