The clear waters of Stockton Lake beckon visitors to water ski, scuba dive, swim, or fish. And Stockton State Park is the perfect place to do it. It’s a perfect place for sailing – with perpetual southwest breeze and a nationally recognized sailing school housed at the marina. Two boat launches make it easy to get in the water, as does a swimming beach. Want to stay on land? The park is great for photographing wildlife, picnicking with the family, or just reveling in the beauty of southern Missouri. The park also offers a range of lodging from campsites to cabins.

If you don't need electric it is easy to find a nice spot with shade. However many electric sites have some shade as well, they are just not as secluded. All sites have picnic tables and fire pits. Site 5 in the West campground is secluded and spacious. The West campground also has a brand new shower house that is the nicest I have seen in any campground. A total of 8 private showers, split between men's and women's.
The marina on site has a burger and fries type restaurant in it, as well and a small general store with food, firewood, and beer.
The Walk-in sites are a real gem. Carts available to carry gear in. These sites are right on the water and very private, separated even from each other.
As with all of Stockton lake, Verizon is really the only game in town. However at State Park you sometimes can pick up a bar or two with ATT. Drive around to find where it is best. With a booster and in the right site ATT could be viable, but don't count on it if it is critical to you.

We prefer waterfront or at least a lake view site, none of the sites had either.

Sites well spaced out, camp hosts very friendly. Highly recommend. 4 stars for location just because of high wind at times. We had site #48, and our family had site #50. Nice sites and no issues with electric hookups. $10 a night during off season.

Well maintained campground. 30 amp electric only, but free dump station and potable water available. We had a view of marina and lake from our site. Lake is close, but trees block the view from most campsites. I believe many campsites have lake views in winter after leaves fall. Short walk brings you to pebble beach in a protected cove, perfect for swimming and fishing. Nice hiking and mountain biking trails. Park has two separate areas to launch boats. Lots of fishing boats in campground, sites were spacious so plenty of space for them. We brought our kayaks, perfect lake for paddling. Limited cell service.

Came here to chill out for a few days. It was exactly what we wanted. We had 30 amp service and filled up with potable water at the dump station. We will check out the lake tomorrow.

It was not crowded. There are clean showers. Kayak trail that you access at marina. Swim beach is a good size and roped off. Hike and bike trails available. Something for everyone.
