“splendid park in Stanwood”
Located on the eastern shore of Lake Goodwin, Wenberg Park offers splendid opportunities for picnicking, sunbathing, boating, and camping. Within these 45 acres, you'll discover a 70-site campground; two picnic shelters (one with jaw-dropping views of the lake, and another that's perfect for company picnics and large gatherings); 465 feet of swim beach and 1,140 feet of freshwater shoreline (allow room to stretch-out); a concession stand (to satisfy your munchies); and a two-lane concrete boat launch for your toys. Management of the park was transferred to Snohomish County from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission on July 16, 2009, in an effort to keep state parks open and available to citizens while responding to state budget reductions.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 21, 2019Site was decent sized, easy to get into. Facilities were very clean and the area along the beach looks brand new. Very nice. No real hiking trails from the campground. Even though off-season, lots of campers, especially in the full hookup loop. Not a bad campground, just not for us. Probably a hopping place in the summer.

The park itself is fine. We are new to RVing and we felt the spaces were adequate, but it was really nothing more than a pretty parking lot. The real attraction is the lake and surrounding activities. Having to pay $10 for our Towed was a bit much, making it $50 per night - not really worth the money.
