Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 10, 2022This small campground next to a small lake seems to be a local favorite. Most of the sites were taken up by fifth wheels that were staying a week or more. It makes a pleasant stop if you are traveling Rt 20 in northern Nebraska.
The sites are mostly shaded, surrounded by nice lawns on a hillside next to the reservoir. A few sites have electricity and water is centrally located. There is a dump station but no fresh water available at it.
Finding this place requires driving about three miles of graded dirt road (in good condition when we visited). Don't follow your GPS's directions unless you like signs that say "Gravel Ends". Follow the official signs only, along Ridge Road to the park's north entrance. Then continue all the way to the end of the road to find the campground (don't turn left to the boat ramp!)

A few miles of gravel to get to the campground. It’s a one way loop and big rig friendly. There is a dump station and water spigots in a few locations. I didn’t use the shower house but I peeked in and it’s clean and free. There is a host but we never talked to them. My husband rode the 8 miles of mountain bike trail and said it was nice. We are in the area for a wedding and Norfolk is less than 10 miles away. People are on the water fishing, kayaking, SUPing etc. Great Verizon service and our Starlink picked up right away when we put it in a clearing. Multiple people have walked through our site but that’s on them, not the campground. I don’t know why people think that’s ok.
