On the highway so there is a bit of noise, not bad. Great location for gas, food, town etc. There is a natural hot springs soaking pool available for guests w/towels. Access to the river with a small walk. Great place to use as base camp while enjoying the beauty and recreation in the Stanley area.

This location was picked because it’s name has “Resort” in it. It had laundry facilities. And thinking it had laundry it would have showers. That was a bad assumption.
We arrived after 4 nights of boondocking and wanting a shower. Only to find out that besides the laundry, the amenities included ONE Port-A-Potty in the middle of a grass field. The ladies (3 of them in their early 20’s) at the front desk were unsympathetic, unfriendly and not helpful. We asked about renting a room at a discounted price to take a shower, which was our idea, the response was they were pretty full and the only room available was a suite of some sort for $279 a night.
When I see the word “resort” I think something high end with a pool, bathrooms. You know? Resort things! At best this was a motel, with no pool. There are 6 RV sites with full hook-ups and absolutely NO trees! The huge field around / behind the motel is over flow camping for RV’s and tents. It comes across as an after thought service line and they really don’t care if it gets utilized or not. 🙄
We later found out that the people who own the “Resort” also own the grocery store across the street, a restaurant and some other things in town. So they have no concern for customer service.
We were booked for 2 nights and only stayed for 1. We did not bother to ask for a refund for the night we did not stay because of the lack of caring by the ladies at the front desk. If they were willing to fleece us $279 for showers they were not going to give us our money back.
The second night we stayed at Stanley RV + Camp, about 10 minutes down the road. A very nice couple purchased the campground a couple of years ago and are in the works of fixing it up! Very customer friendly! I am looking forward to going back and seeing them again!
