Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 25, 2022This isn't really a campground so much as an area of lakeshore open to camping. The area seems to be popular on weekends for lake users. We've stayed overnight here many times since 2015. There have been periods where the location is closed for various reasons, including during winters when it's covered with snow. It also provides a nice place for travelers to stay for the night while traveling on I-90. It's only about 45 minutes from Seattle so we use it when we're on our way to or from a quick trip to the city.
The "sites" are dirt and gravel. Larger RVs might have trouble maneuvering and finding a level spot. Smaller RV's will find plenty of room and choices of places to park.
The area is only about 1/4 mile from I-90, across the water. The noise from the highway was not very noticeable.

We were looking for a quiet spot, off I-90, to commence early morning travel through the Bellevue/Seattle metro area, while still avoiding the worst part of the commute. We scouted the area, before leaving the asphalt. We selected a dirt road to the south about 50 yards before the end of the asphalt, as this was the smoothest transition. We opted for a site on the high ground overlooking the lake. There appeared to be 3 other campers, with room for at least 20 more. We talked to a fisherman who told us the lake level had dropped 20 feet in the last 2 weeks. Some of the area is soft sand, hence the reason for scouting, before leaving the asphalt. We didn’t have any issue with freeway noise and had a very peaceful night.

I’ve camped here in 2019 and was hoping to do so again in 2020. They have left the lake flooded saying they are restoring wildlife. Camping is prohibited and they will fine you if you break that rule. I moved on.

15 mostly small campers / truck campers dispersed down by the lake. We’re a 36’ travel trailer and just stayed in the LEVEL parking lot. Lots of trails and beautiful views all around!

The lake is very high right now. The only place to park is in the parking lot. I don’t see any signs for siding overnight parking. Beautiful area, wish the beach was accessible.

We were passing through and needed a stopover. The boat launch was just that. Since the water was high, there was no beach so we parked along the trees by the parking lot.
Nobody bothered us but there was quite a bit of visitors during dusk.

Loads of dry camping space for higher clearance smaller rigs due to extremely low lake level. Perfect for our little T@B. I90 noise wasn’t bothersome but was noticeable. Our dog did get extraordinarily Sandy and smelly from standing lake water and such, but that’s to be expected from him when camping. Just a bummer as I’d just given him a thorough bath and he spent the majority of the day smelling great.
