“park in Snohomish”
Snohomish County purchased the property in 1968 from the Leckie family, who had operated Leckie's Resort on the site between 1925 and 1960. The original resort offered a a beautiful shallow water swimming beach, a dock, a small store, rental boats and canoes, tent camping, and a few very rustic cabins. Development of the county park began in the early 1970's.

It was a MAD HOUSE at Flowing Lake County Park when we camped here in July, however, in spite of it being packed with families and summer camp groups, it was surprisingly pleasant for us (no kids and working from the trailer). The spots are REALLY far apart, so we weren't disturbed by any of the chaos. We also left the trailer in the campground for 3 nights while we stayed in a hotel in Seattle without a problem.

Stayed here on a nice weekend in mid-April. It was about 1/3 full. Our site, #30, was extremely private with lots of room for kids and dogs. The lake was small but nice. Beach was gravel but fine for early spring. There was a decent play ground area that was good for small children.
Worst thing that happened that was Google directions took me to a dead end on the other side of the lake. It was not fun turning around our 27' Airstream at the end but we made it out and found our way around the lake.

My husband and I did a 46 day trip and 10 states and this was by far was my favorite place. The sites are so beautiful huge trees , moss and ferns. The lake is right there and it was so fun to spend the day swimming and floating , bring a raft! There is a trail the goes through & around thr park and it was amazing and we were the only ones on the trail. It was stunning, an enchanted forest! Bald eagles flew overhead every day. We had originally booked 2 days but I didn't eant to leave so we stayed 3 more. I can't wait to go back.

The park is less than a half hour from our home but we felt like we traveled hours to a remote place. The roads in the park feel narrow with a big rig no problem overall. The sites all had new gravel and ours had a fire pit below our parking pad that gave privacy to our group gatherings. We look forward to visiting the park again.

Stayed here one Thursday night in a campervan. Many of the spots looked to be reserved for the upcoming weekend, so I suspect this place gets very packed on weekends in the late spring/summer! Going rate in May was something like $30/night. Very nice, well maintained campground with about a dozen car/tent spots and maybe 20 RV spots. There is a small nature trail that circles the RV section of the campground that is just beautiful! Don’t miss it! Bathroom facilities are basic - portable toilets and a couple of proper restroom buildings with toilets/sinks.

Our site was close to bathroom and shower. The bathroom is locked so only campers with a code can use them. The shower is free.
We felt like we were in the middle of a big forest with lots of space from other campers. The lake is just a short walk away. Amenities included boat launch, fishing dock, swimming beach, volleyball net, playground, picnic tables in the lakeside park, electricity, and water. No dump station.
The campground is only 15 minutes from a Walmart or other stores and restaurants, so if you forgot something you can get it nearby.
