We stayed the first weekend in April when everything was open. During the off season they have water shut off to most of the bathhouses and spickets. I believe the dump station is open all season.
Our site was 396 in loop G. We had a great view of the lake without our neighbors impeding it. Loops e,f and g all have 30 amp electric sites. loop c has 50 amp and water, loops b and d are primitive and loop a is equestrian. The majority of the sites in the electric sites are gravel and are reasonably spaced. There are a few sites that are double, so if you are camping with another family those would be ideal. You can make reservations for most sites through the Clay County website.
There is a walking trail the circles the outside of the campground that is paved and level. Great for walking the dog and scoping out the other rigs without being on the main roads. We did not use the showers this stay but they looked clean and like the floor was recently redone. There are flush toilet bathrooms on every loop as well as a few vault toilet houses. The bathrooms were pretty clean as well. There is potable water to fill up your rig with at the dump station.
Smithville is just a short 5-10 minute drive. We decided to grab some KC BBQ from Chops and it was amazing! Kearney is about a 15 minute drive the opposite way, so if you need basic supplies you aren’t far from a town.
All in all this is a great campground to stay in and we will certainly be back!

We have stayed at Crow's Creek a couple of times and had a great time. The sites are a bit close together, but if you select your site well you can have a beautiful lake view. Good power and water, decent Verizon cell coverage, paved trail winding through the campground, playground was a hit with our grand kids, and reasonably priced. Some sites could be difficult to level. If you are making online reservations, beware that many sites have shared site entrances shaped like a "Y" when viewed from above (satellite view). Great if you are with someone you know and like. Not so much otherwise. Scouting by satellite is the best way to choose your site at this park. The park has a full hookup loop also, but we have never stayed there because the views aren't as good.

2nd time camping in our Class C. Close to home so we came 2 weeks ago and picked out spot and prepaid. Site attendant was extremely helpful and provided us a receipt with our reserved spot number. Our first time camping at a for profit RV park a few weeks ago was a disaster and this place was night and day different. Lots of large old Oak trees so very shady. Didn’t even use awning on 2nd day. 30/50 amp and water. No sewer but they do have a sewer dump on your way out. Bath and shower houses immaculate. Site was large. Lake sites available but very packed in over there. Also have stables for people that bring horses and camp sites near your horses. Very organized and accessible! We will be back! Picnic table and fire ring at all sites and bathrooms close by. Showers were farther away. Walking trails.

We stayed here in January of 2021 and were the only ones around. It’s about 10 miles off I-35 and liberty and Kearney are close. Super clean and super quiet. Showers were nice. We stayed in unimproved sites but they have 30- 50 amp sights with water. Dumps station nice and roomy as you leave. Will definitely check it out again.

We stayed here 10/1/17 in a primitive site overlooking the water. It was the last weekend of the season and it wasn’t too busy. The campground was well maintained and clean. It’s also in close proximity to town. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Great campground overall. Sites were a bit close together. Many sites are shared drive, but they don't indicate that on the web site, so you don't know when booking you may be very close to your neighbor. Had my neighbor been a big rig like us, we would likely have had a challenge.
Other than that, great campground with lake views and lots of shade. We will be back but will try and pick our site better next time.

We enjoyed camping at this lake/campground, but sites were expensive, particularly with no water supplied at individual campsites for most sites -- electricity only. There was potable water available from spigots to fill your fresh water tank, though. Sites were clean and looked level -- ours was. We were able to use the camp dump facility before leaving. My husband used the shower facility and reported the showers are both strong and hot. This is a nice close-to-Kansas City campground and because of that we were able to have family and friends "visit" us -- part of our reason for choosing to camp here. We asked the camp host and no discount is available even for county residents, for veterans, or for any other affiliation.

I really struggled with whether to write this. So I'll explain the story...
The camp host was off duty when we arrived, we picked a site and went and goofed off for a few hours and decided to ride up to the gate to pay. I hand my license to the camp host. The camp host says that is place she'll never go to because of "those people". After about 5 minutes I figured out that "those people" was me and in all I was subjected to 20 minutes of political hate speech. While I was perfectly polite, I really was offended.
Regarding the campground. The place is huge. 400+ sites. Lots of lake side and Lakeview sites. There is a nice bike trail and lots more to the park. Bathrooms and showers were fine.
This whole rec area is huge an there is lots to do here.
