Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on March 28, 2023We were here for one month. ($525) They require a $100 deposit that they mail back to your permanent address 30 days after you leave. During our month, I think I could probably walk out of the front door without sloshing through muddy water a total of 3 days. Literally there was 4-6″ of muddy water in our entire site the whole time. I get that Louisiana floods but this was ridiculous. The roads are very narrow and full of potholes. Less than half the sites are paved or gravel. What made it even worse was the lady in the office. I’ve never met someone so rude right off the bat for no reason.

I will tell you, we stayed there almost a year. The park itself, is nice. The management on the other hand, needs some serious help. They are rude to you in the office, when you have a package delivered, they act like it's an inconvenience to get up from behind their desk & get it for you, on numerous occasions, my clothes were removed from the washing machine & laid on the counter, it is a mud hole after any type of rain storm, we even asked about putting more rock down so we wouldn't have to walk in mud from camper to vehicle & were told no, so we bought and paid for our own & had to shovel it out by hand to get it were it was at least dry enough to park or walk to the camper. The manager of the park is notorious for going around talking negative about other campers on the grounds to other campers there. We had 2 girls, 13 & 11, and he always had something negative to say about them riding bicycles, using the bath house, or going around visiting friends that we had made while there. He never talks to the men about issues, it's always the women he catches & tells things to. I wouldn't recommend any one with kids staying here at all. And the free Wi-Fi that they advertise, you usually can't get anywhere in the park.

Managers here were very nice and accommodating when we were stuck in Alabama for an extra day with trailer problems. Our spot was level although had muddy tire tracks going through grassy area so had to do some fancy stepping to get into trailer. Laundry was one of the nicest we’ve seen. WiFi is sketchy at best but cell phone was good. There is a little lake on grounds for fishing.

I stayed here for over 3 months because living in my rv is a cheaper route that works for me right now. The rv Park advertises free WiFi but if your rv isn’t “nice and new” you get pushed into the back (also away from the nice cement slabs) so the WiFi doesn’t work. I’m not even sure it works IN THE OFFICE that’s how terrible the WiFi is. The “new laundry facility” is actually over 15 years old. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers but one or two are broken every time I tried to do laundry... so 60 rv spots and 4 washers/dryers but only 3 work usually? Expect a long wait. I worked odd hours so I’d get my mail on Saturdays or my partner would........ good luck going in there without feeling like a burden for wanting YOUR mail. The workers can be nice (yard maintenance help was always kind and the young blonde in the office!) but the owner and older ladies in the office like to judge the people that stay long term and they usually judge you based off your income, year of your rv, and your appearance. Anyway, I would have stayed if the WiFi worked, if the rv Park wasn’t a foot under water for fall-spring, if the owner paved or graveled the lots for the “less nice” rv owners (like me), and if the old ladies weren’t so angry all the time when I went in to pay or get my mail.

The rate was a little inflated due to it being Mardi Gras. Overall it’s a very quite place, only a mile away from I-10. The women in the front office were pretty friendly from the little encounters I have had with them. Paved pull throughs for majority of the sites, so made it very easy for us to set up, as we got here at 1am. The only thing I’d say negatively about this place is that you are pretty close to your neighbor, so not much privacy or space. Only a 30-35 minute drive to NOLA.

Stayed at this park because it was close to my dog's oncologist. The entrance looks nice with the tall trees, however I found it odd that the office closed at noon on a Saturday, but found an envelope with our instructions on the board.
There is a section for transient/overnighters with the rest of the park being permanent folks. They are mostly pull thru sites with full hookups. The power, water & sewer were in good working order. No cable but plenty of OTA stations. There was no designated dog area. The location is about .5 mile off I-10, but did not hear any freeway noise.
The biggest issue that will keep me from returning is the limited space to pull out & exit the site. The road is very narrow and yet they assign very large rigs (we are pulling a 40' 5th wheel & full size truck) into this limited area. In trying to turn the corner a campers truck was so close to the road that we had to go onto the grass (left big ruts) and was afraid we would get stuck. Too tight of space for all these large rigs.

Chuck and his staff are absolutely wonderful! We would recommend this RV park to everyone for so many reasons: their hospitality, their safe but convenient location just off I-10 (convenient to services galore in Slidell [WalMart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Firestone, banks, Goodwill, Verizon and AT&T stores, restaurants, Rouse’s Grocery Store, and Walgreen’s as well as the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Laurel] and a safe place that is an easy drive to New Orleans), their paved spaces, their spotless laundry room, and their willingness to help us in whatever way they could. My sister and I had to make an unexpected trip to New Orleans, where our brother lives, to take care of him for what we thought would be three weeks at the most. Instead, we had to stay for nearly five weeks. Since our visit coincided with the run-up to Mardi Gras and Mardi Gras itself, we could only get reservations at Pine Crest for the first week of our stay. Once Chuck met us and learned what our mission was, he found a way to keep us in his RV park for the entire six weeks we needed to be there. He and his staff had to juggle other reservations to take care of us, and they managed to do it without cancelling anyone else’s reservations. Not only that, Chuck made sure we knew which areas of New Orleans to avoid, drew us maps, and gave us directions to our brother’s house and to every place we needed to go for services in Slidell. And Chuck still felt badly that he couldn’t help us more!!! In our opinion, he and his staff went way above and beyond the call of duty to help us, and we will never be able to thank them enough!

I had booked a different RV Park, which was just east of Pine Crest RV Park on Old Spanish Trail. Upon arriving at the booked park, I did NOT feel safe staying there, so turned around and pulled into Pine Crest in hopes they could accommodate me for one night - THEY COULD!! Chuck was an angel and a huge help. What a relief!! My site (19) was an easy pull-through, and level. I didn't have to unhook my tow car from my motorhome. The power pedestal was a bit loose but worked fine. The grounds were lovely and a nice lake backs up to the park. Definitely intend to stay here next time I'm passing through or wanting to visit New Orleans.
