“Build your own pizza in Red River Gorge”
Miguel's Pizza is a true must-stop destination in the Slade, Kentucky area. Miguel's is considered a pizza and camping mecca for rock-climbers and roadtrippers visiting Natural Bridge and the surrounding area. Visitors get to create their own pizza, make it as meaty, cheesy, or veggie-y as they want. If you're hungry in Natural Bridge, you have to stop at Miguel's.
You don't have tons of dining options around here, but I genuinely liked this place. The pizza is good and they have some fun toppings. Eat outside and play some Uno. Drink an Ale-8 1 since you're in KY. Also, Miguel is a sex god.
What's better than an Ale-8 1 and pizza with fresh toppings after a long backpack in the Red? Nothing. Seriously, this place is the most satisfying place to go after a long week of climbing or backpacking. They have great pesto and chicken toppings. They also have a shabby little camping ground in the back. Well worth it.
I live about an hour away from Miguel's. It's 2 dollar camping in the back, with newly renovated camping areas, and a climbing shop just a short walk away, where you can buy gear, and shirts with the logo. It's a great place to eat, but I wouldn't take your family camping there. With all the combinations of pizza toppings, the possibilities are endless!!! They even have salads and sandwiches for those who aren't feeling pizza that day!! Showers and bathrooms are available around back, and there is a one stall bathroom inside. Never go to the gorge without going to Miguel's. It's a native sin!!!
Some friends and I camped here during our spring break climbing trip. Good pizza and nice facilties. Everyone was really cool. Great place to eat and camp if you are in the area.
Great way to fuel up after a hike. Good pizza. we had a bit of a wait, but there's enough gear and people watching to fill the time.
We stopped after our hike, nice little place. Good pizza! The kids had half the way they wanted and we got ours the way we like it. It's now on our "must do" after hiking.
Like a little hole in the wall. Good place for pizza and fun atmosphere.
Miguel's is a great place to stop for a pizza appetizer on your way home from a hike. Great people and the food was good--but, it was probably because we were hungry. As a side note, since this area is a dry county, you're not allowed to drink. BUT, it wasn't too much of an issue as we just put the booze into solo cups and no one asked questions.
