Checked out South Shore Campground because the website said it had water available. Cruised around campground, found several campsites available but no water source, other than a faucet. Spoke with the campground host and he confirmed no water is available. Suggested I go to the Chevron station 15 miles south in Sisters.
Cute campground with many lakefront sites however nothing I saw was level.

Traveling through. Spur of the moment find…
This is the best of the 3 campgrounds on the lake, IMHO. Leveling may be a problem in some of the sites. I have a van and don’t need to be perfectly level. I liked 13 because it had its own little beach to launch my paddleboard. The lake and lake front sites were really windy in mid May…
There is a trail that goes around the lake so people will be walking by your site. It’s a great walk for dogs… around 3 miles. The camp host was sweet, and dog friendly. Pit toilet restrooms were super clean.
The highway (2 lane) is across the lake so there is some traffic noise .
Overall, a nice spot
