We were able to get our 34 ft Hitchhiker II and a 30 ft Arctic Fox in our spot with plenty of room to spare. Cell coverage (Verizon) was any where from 0 - 2 bars of LTE, depending on where you were.

Easily accessible from our van, appeared to be a handful of sites spread out over a good distance so you’re not sitting on top of somebody. Quiet night with beautiful stargazing & great sunrise. Mountains in the distance & walked around in the morning checking out plants on the ridge. Slept here after hiking Red Rocks all day and before heading to Death Valley. No cell service.

This was my first boondocking adventure and it did not disappoint. Plenty of dispersed camp spots just on the outside of Death Valley NP wilderness boundary. Fire rings and hard packed natural gravel areas to set up camp...fairly level, clean, very open with no shade. Spectacular night skies and gorgeous sunrise/sunset colors on the surrounding mountains- the geology in this area is something else. Lots of hills to climb and washes to explore but beware if you bring your fur baby - the ground is sharp gravel and rocks everywhere...tough on the paws. Death Valley NP and many mines and natural hot springs are easy day jaunts from your camp site. Pahrump is about 30 miles away for resupply needs. I look forward to coming back after the summer heat.

This place is so spread out, we saw a few other campers on the way in but can’t see them from our site. In a 21ft class C, roads are regular BLM washboard on the way out here.
There is NO service on the way out here, but once you get to the coordinates listed it’s usable. We are able to work on our Verizon hotspot, T-Mobile signal needs the We Boost to work.

This spot is a great option for day trips to Death Valley but still have good connectivity and close-ish to Pahrump, NV for supplies.
Plenty of wide open spaces to spread out, I was probably a quarter mile from my nearest neighbor. Great views and not much traffic down Furnace Creek road.
As for Death Valley, it was about an hour and 20 minutes to Zabriskie Point but I was about 3 miles down Furnace Creek Road.
The China Date Ranch nearby is a must see! Their date smoothies and shakes are amazing and the whole place is a real oasis in the middle of nowhere.
I had stable Verizon with steady speeds around 20Mbps down and 6Mpbs up. This place is a little deceiving though because initially driving in you’ll get very little or nothing on Verizon but after a mile or so back you’ll get 1-2 bars with decent bandwidth. I have a weboost but I think you would be okay without one in the right spot.

Stayed in early March. No amenities, just silence and privacy. Accessed via a dirt road that was well kept. We had no problems in our 34’ Class A. Many pull off sites for various size vehicles. The site we chose was extremely level, had a stone fire ring, and there was very little trash around. The landscape and geology of the area is beautiful, hiking for days, but there’s evidence of rock slides, so be very careful. Rockhounds would probably like it here. We found a lot of mini geodes and igneous rocks.

Campsites are easy to identify and far enough from one another. Close enough so that you feel safer but enough distance to feel comfortable to pee. It isn’t far from Death Valley if you’re already driving. Camped in a different spot each night on this road. The second night we were visited by a kit fox but it left after evaluating the area. We were camped in front of a hill. The stars were beautiful. Pretty decent cell service.

Great place to boondock. Level sites with privacy. Due to the wind we choose a place about half a mile from Hwy 178 in the canyon. Had a fire ring already built. Very quiet at night with lots of clear sky's and close to the Tecopa hot springs. Good AT&T service Really enjoyed our time there.

Easy in and out down a flat gravel road. If you go back about a mile you’ll get better cell. We visited China Ranch Date Farm for great shakes and baked goods and awesome hiking, nearby Dublin Gulch and the museum next door in Shoshone. There are private hot springs in Tecopa but we skipped those. The brewery was just meh. We were here May 8 for a couple days and weather was probably a little cooler than normal and windy too. Our only strange thing was we picked up a bunch of hitchhiking moths that somehow must’ve come in with our slides. We’ve killed over 30 and still finding them a couple days later. Quarter sized. It must’ve been a hatch or something.
