Clear Creek Park

Clear Creek Park in Shelbyville, Kentucky is one of the most popular parks in the whole region. It has a wide range of recreational opportunities for people to enjoy, and provides a great place for scheduled classes, training or group uses. Clear Creek Park is named for the creek that flows through this area of Shelby County. Clear Creek was dammed in 1949 and a low lying area behind the dam was flooded to form Lake Shelby. This 20 acre lake borders Clear Creek Park to the North, and the park offers canoe and paddle boat rentals for people to enjoy a fun day on the water. There are miles of trails that cross through the park property, as well as a host of athletic fields and developed park facilities.
