Sickening. I'm writing this at 1:30a because I can't sleep due to the noxious fumes that are in all parts of this hotel. Each part of the hotel smells different, but equally horrible. The elevator, the stairwell, the hallway, even from room to room.. I booked two rooms, went to the first and it smelled like mildew, and went to the second and it smelled like harsh chemicals. I asked for two different rooms, which are not much better and amazingly have two distinctly different offensive odors. Supposed to be non-smoking, but the smell of cigarettes is mixed in with each other odor at a different intensity depending on the area of the hotel. That's not all though. I was standing at the elevator and pushed the button, but it didn't light up. I tried again, and waited for a while just to see what would happen. After about a minute I heard this huge banging noise from inside, and only then did the elevator button light up. I took the stairs. Also, there is no fan in the bathroom. Never heard of that before; maybe it's just broken because there is a vent. Broken carts, dead bugs in the entranceway, broken pieces of the AC laying on the floor.. And the outer door that is "locked 24 hours" doesn't shut unless you push/pull it shut. And here I am in the least offensively smelling room of the four I've been in tonight, and I can't sleep because it's making me sneeze. So yes, literally sickening.
The staff was very friendly, and we had a restful stay with a great breakfast (Belgian Waffles, and chai tea!). But the curtains in the room (the sunlight blocking part) did not cover the whole window. Which I don't mind waking up with the sun, but at night the lights in the parking lot were super bright. The hotel also did not show up on Siri or Google maps, but the address is correct.
Gave us a really good deal on king suite since it was midnight when we checked in. Room did smell a little like smoke but not enough to bother us. Pull out sofa not a good mattress so don't plan on using it. The bed is comfy. u can tell it's an older motel.
