We had a riverfront site...but the river here is very muddy....still beautiful with lots of ducks. Busy park with Pigeon Forge nearby. Drove to Clingmans Dome early one morning to beat the crowd....amazing views from 6660 feet....the highlight of our trip👍🙌🏻🤗 The sites here are narrow and your neighbors sewer hookup is next to your patio.
Had no problem streaming Direct TV Now with our Winegard Connect 2.0 ATT SIM card

Upon entering Riverside park there is not a lot of curb appeal at least not in November. There is a slightly steepish, turning entrance and you pull up in front of a small building. We had reserved ahead, and the check-in was quick and functional. They give you a map and off you go to your site. There are back-in sites along the river but they are rather short. We witnessed a long 5th wheel trying to get into one of these sites, and he used several opposite (luckily empty) sites to back in. And his back end was almost over the river. A small motorhome could pull in but would have to run utilities underneath. Our pull-thru site was narrow and flanked by trees so we had to jockey a bit to get situated. It would have been a challenge with the tow hooked up. The site left little room for our tow vehicle even with parking it sideways. If you want an overnight and don’t want to unhook specify a pull-thru without trees. The sites are all gravel and pretty level. There is no privacy just a little grass space between sites with a picnic table. It was raining when we arrived and there was lots of standing water in most sites and the interior roads. It was not crowded when we here and it was quiet. Internet works pretty good although it slows down here and there. Directv would not lock in due to trees in our site but would have in the pull-thrus without trees. They do have cable. Verizon was strong with 4g 3 bars. We found it to be pricey, even off season, for what you get. Although they advertise that the park is strictly a nightly vacation park there are permanent double wides in the middle of the park. ??? And yes, the park is located near Gatlinburg but the traffic to get there is horrendous. We attempted to go into Gatlinburg which would have taken 1 ½ hours to go 18 miles! We passed on that! BTW if you like to consume adult beverages come fully stocked – there are only a couple of liquor stores in the area.

We loved this little spot! Very convenient between Knoxville and Pigeon Forge. We had a great space right next to the river and we’re able to set up our chairs in the lawn and overlook the river. There was a nice big dog run and the bath house was clean and functional.

The staff was friendly, our site was gravel and level, we had a concrete pad and a picnic table, full hook ups and a nice size site. We showered at around 8:00 AM and the bathrooms and showers desperately needed attention but we chalked that up to being a busy time. The grounds are well maintained.
The internet was excellent.
A bonus is that Tony Gore’s BBQ is right around the corner!
Very close to I-40.
We’d absolutely visit again.

Agree with many of the observations below.
Wifi worked great.
My only complaint is the barking dogs.. Almost constant. Drives you crazy when they are only feet away and the owners don’t give a crap.
Board them, babysit or have a friend keep them.
Buy a muzzle.
By the way I love dogs. Just not the constant barking.

Lots to do in the area. The big visit is Smokie Mts. Nat. Park. We were there from 8 to 13 Oct 2020. It was very busy/crowded.
Running and biking in the RV park was boring. Paved and gravel. The trip around the outside perimeter was approx. 1.2 miles. There are "greenways in the city about 5 miles away. They are not very interesting but safe. Some big hills.
Hiking at the Smokies is of course stupendous.
Access to the West Prong/Little Pigeon River was by boat ramp near the office. We didn't go due to the rain. As we were in the town might not have been that interesting.
Sites were typical neither large nor small for this type of park.
AT&T cell service was poor. We had to use WeBoost 65 RV with a 35-foot directional antenna. We were able to stream TV with the WeBoost antenna.

Needed an overnight site heading to Knoxville, and this fit the bill. Couldn't be easier access from the interstate - very few turns and a couple of lights. Arrived after office closed and were able to pull into our site and get hooked up. Almost level site. Sites were close together. Left early the next morning. Didn't check out the bathrooms.

We were looking for an RV park close to the Smoky Mountains, yet not all caught up in the busyness of the area and found a great spot here. The staff was friendly and patient with all my questions when I called to reserve a site. Access was convenient and yet far enough away from highway noise. Sites were comfy, not too close, easy to navigate, full hook-ups. We enjoyed our stay here and recommend it to others looking while in the area.

We stayed 5 nights, quiet , but lots of kids also :-) Would be about $60. a night (after discounts, and then add taxes etc....) Mid June, no problem with mosquitos or ants. Lovely bathroom/showers. Didn't use laundry but looked nice, 4 washers and dryers. Nice looking pool, filled with lots of happy kids and some adults. They also have cabins all along the river. They look nice and have a porch swing overlooking the shore and riverbank. All along the riverbank are fire rings.....none at the RV campsites.
