“a living museum”
Located on the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport (KGKT) in Sevierville, making it possible for our WARBIRDS to bring aviation history to life. The Tennessee Museum of Aviation is open year round,we are a "living" museum, therefore our exhibits and aircraft change frequently. Bring your family to reminisce with veterans willing to share their memories with the next generation. Step back in time and explore history at our amazing Smoky Mountain Attraction.
My husband enjoyed chatting about history with the Veteran on site in the hanger. Wonderful displays, clean restrooms and a large gift shop. Very friendly staff. Worth the visit!
This was well worth it!
The hanger was our favorite! We saw two Republic P-47 Thunderbolts from WWII (there are not many of these left), a full scale replica of the 1902 Wright Glider, several MiG fighter jets, and much more!
