“a jewel to behold”
Sedona, Arizona, about halfway between Phoenix and the Grand Canyon, is a must-visit place for spiritual seekers the world over. Since 2004, such visitors have been flocking to Sedona’s Amitabha Stupa. (Some call it Sedona’s newest vortex.) Sitting majestically among the pinion and juniper pines, and surrounded by a landscape of stunning crimson spires, it is a jewel to behold. On any given day in beautiful Sedona, dozens of visitors trek up the short winding trails to the 36 foot Amitabha Stupa and the smaller Tara Stupa for prayer, meditation, healing, and the experience of peace in a sacred place. The Amitabha Stupa is open every day from dawn until dusk and your visit is free of charge. (Of course, donations to support the stupa are gratefully accepted.)

Such beautiful energy here! So refreshing, glad we stopped :)
Very peaceful and you can drive right up to the Stupas.
Sign can be hard to see, but it is worth searching for.
A very special and sacred spot- you are free to leave your own offerings, take a prayer walk, or just sit in silence.
There are trails throughout the space and numerous little altars.
Beautiful and peaceful. I would have liked some signs explaining a little more about the Stupas.
Amazing and so very peaceful. Beautiful.
very peaceful and I was allowed to carry my pet! A great stop after driving through Sedona in mad traffic!!! I was told Sedona was spiritual but all I found was new shops selling spirituality but then I found this great place! I was very moved and was very glad I added this to my road trip!
There's a ton of trails right around this area. Went on an initial hike on the chimney trial and ended up getting a little lots and found this spot. I was so happy to have found it. It was very peaceful.
This Amitabha Enlightenment Stupa is beautiful, made the same color as the red rock surroundings and with a beautiful bronze statue of Amitabha. Make according to Buddhist traditions and rare to find.
