“Year-Round RV Camp in Washington”

The Long Beach RV camping preserve is a beautiful 22-acre RV camp in Washington located just 1,200 feet from the Pacific Ocean. Take one of our beach paths down to the water and enjoy 28 miles of dog friendly beach. All of the sites at the Long Beach preserve are full RV camping hookups and satellite friendly. Our RV camp also offers a wonderful summer recreation program in Washington that is fun for the whole family. Just two miles up the road from the Long Beach RV camping preserve is the city of Long Beach, where you will find plenty of shops and, perhaps, the perfect gift. Downtown also hosts a variety of wonderful restaurants. You will also find an arcade, a go-cart track and museums. When you choose our Long Beach RV camp in Washington you'll have plenty to do downtown, so make sure you plan extra time to enjoy all the sites. The Long Beach Peninsula is a great destination for nature lovers, too! Here at the preserve we often have elk, deer, bald eagles and black bears that make their way through the park. The peninsula also has two beautiful lighthouses. There are bike paths and nature trails that all offer spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. All this adventure is waiting for you just minutes from our Long Beach RV campgrounds along the coast of Washington.

We had booked this spot as a place to stay for Deseray's birthday, and we also needed to get some work done, or else we wouldn't have spent so long here.

Long rows of tight spaces where you back in right up to the space behind you. The spaces vary slightly but most are about 40 ft deep, so if might be almost touching the rig behind you if you both have larger rigs. Not a lot of outside space by the time slides are deployed.

You can hear the ocean, which is especially nice at night, but you are unable to see it from the park. They do have a trail to the ocean which is about a 1/4 - 1/2 mile walk.

Like all Thousand Trails (that I have been to) WiFi is only at the office, but we did have good cell coverage (I just noted 4 bars but not whether it was AT&T or Verizon and whether I needed to use the booster, will make better notes in the future).

We liked the Eagles Nest RV park, right down the road, much better. We also thoroughly enjoyed Cape Disappointment state park which is right down the road and would have relocated there had it not been full.

[Actual stay was 5/25/15]

This is a super tight campground. You share an electric pole with you backyard neighbor, so if they have 50 amp, then you only get 30. Also, the odd number sites require extra long water and sewer hoses to reach. They say they will ask you to move if you're backed in farther than your power pole, but we had neighbors that were backed in farther and they never had to move. Tight spots with no personal fire rings.

Pretty decent for a TT park. The sites are pretty close, but that is not uncommon at many parks. The hookups are a little annoying with the central water/sewer for 4 sites, but they are full hookups. Location is pretty nice with the beach and discovery trail a short walk away, Long Beach a short ride, and within 20-30 minutes to Astoria. Bathrooms were clean. There is only one big dumpster, but its not that big of a park so not really a big deal. Good value if you are staying on TT membership

If you have stayed at other Thousand Trails properties in Washington, the site size and layout reminds us of Birch Bay/Blaine or Oceana/Ocean City. It is overall a typical Thousand Trails Washington experience. The park is older, bathrooms could be updated, and sites are on the small side. The staff is very nice and we have seen them very busy with upkeep getting ready for the upcoming busy season. The bathrooms are clean. The big plus about this park is the proximity to the ocean! There is a trail from the park to the beach. We enjoyed an amazing sunset from Long Beach!

Less than two miles away is Cape Disappointment State Park. Also less than two miles away is Salt Hotel and Pub. Great place for "pub grub" of a more gourmet nature. Scott had the best Cubano Sandwich he has ever had (and he has had a few). It has a nice water view of the Port of Ilwaco.

Stayed June 3rd of 2016 We were on our way to Washington from Kansas and found this gem. The sites are very close and the water was weird. I think one water faucet served 4 sites. The walk to the beach was pretty cool and the beach spectacular. I found the other reviews said the price was free. I wish I had found that bargain. Probably not worth the price since it was so hard to park in and the water was crazy and it was loud with partying people everywhere but we were glad to find a place that let us in without reservation. Marked three stars for super small sites, water and noise. Hard to drive to as it was hidden and not great signage.

Everyone was pleasant here. On the weekends the noise level increases but never had any significant noise after 10 pm. Overall the older park was clean and had quite a few trees. About a ten minute walk to the quiet beach. When I stayed here the weather was cool and many days were a bit windy due to the beach close by. The ocean can be heard when it's quiet at night especially.

Camp Disappointment State Park was only a few miles away and worth the visit. Along with the two lighthouses nearby.

Sites were tight and had an unusual set up with utilities. Try to get an even site if you can as the sewer will be on the right side of your RV. Restrooms and showers were older but maintained and the laundry room was clean and in good order. The pool was just opened and look good, but the jacuzzi was not open.

I think this is the only TT in PNW with actual beach access (you need to cross a HWY or drive at all others TTs), but all of Long Beach is a HWY (25 MPH limit) and there are a lot of vehicles traveling along the shoreline trying to avoid the soft sand above the high tide line (1 or 2 passing every minute). As mentioned in other reviews layout is weird. Odd sites have water/sewer on wrong side of RV and half of sites have electric on wrong side (it’s by row). Camp is basically an RV parking lot with some trees. Sites are ~20’ wide and it gets tighter because some RVs may be parked in center of site or head in to reach facilities. We had 1’ from our awning to neighbor’s slide out. Not a lot of fire smoke because most sights do not have fire rings (camp has a limited number of above ground pits they will drop off if requested). 1 Of 3 bathrooms and the dump station where closed on our visit due to sewer problem. AT&T Was usable, LTE 20Mbps down, 0.01Mbps up (typical for coast).

Awesome place to stay, great Verizon Service. Close to parks, hiking trails, beach access and downtown. Staff was nice, bathrooms so-so. Could use an update, but still nice. Can't wait to go back

We stayed there between 11 and 14 March, 2021. We are members so we did not pay. The site is perfectly located with easy access to the beach (via short trail), as well as Cape Disappointment area, Long Beach town, and Astoria. The sites are tightly spaced, but because it was so early in the season there was not that many people there so we were just fine (with no one on our left nor right). The sites (the ones closest to the beach trail) were muddy due to recent heavy rains. Our site was fine with grassy spot right in front of our campers door. Generally, there was lots of dry sites to pick from. We did not use the bathrooms facilities, but used the laundry room ($1.50 + 1.75 for dryer or the other way around), and kids hanged out at the playground. We had fire at the camp site one night (you need to rent a fire ring or bring your own), fire at the beach the other night. Staff was nice and helpful, and provided a lot of good tips to make our stay fun. Overall, this was a wonderful weekend.

First the layout. The sites are all back in, however originally designed as pull through. They have taken all the pull through sites and converted them to back to back in sites. I know this because each site(s) shares power. One 30 and one 50 amp, even number sites supposed to get 50 and odd site gets 30. That said it seemed to be first come first choose. With the weather here most of the time you won't need more than 30 amp anyway.
Occupants were very nice. We were warned about theft however so lock your stuff up.

The good part is bring a bike because there are miles of a paved bike route both directions along the beach and to a light house. Access was very easy with our long rig of 36 ft + a toad. Cannot see the ocean from this park. A short walk gives you a nice view of Long Beach which goes for miles. Would recommend a wagon to carry your cooler/stuff.

Weather was overcast and locals said that is the norm so bring a sweater.

No fire pits at your RV site but all tent sites have them??? There is a community fire pit however if you don't mind others.

Bottom line is that we would stay here again but will be looking for better park along this beach.
