“A Seattle institution since the 1920s”
The Roanoke is a Seattle institution - our building has been here since the 1920's and a bar has been here in one form or another ever since. Check out the cool photos in the back room for all of its incarnations. We're famous for our Wednesday $1 homemade tacos and $1 beers, our baked-to-order nachos, our two ping pong tables and deck, and being an all-around great place to hang out. More than a few people have met their future partner here - check out the wedding wall. Whether you come here alone or with a big group, you're sure to leave having made a few new friends, especially if you sit at the bar. We're a cozy neighborhood bar - some might even say a Seattle institution - located on the north end of Capitol Hill. We've usually got a fire going in the stove in the winter and the deck is the place to be when the sun shines. Two ping pong tables for your gaming pleasure. We've got 15 taps running the gamut from Rainier to the dark stuff, with seasonal brews on the rotating handles. Liquor and wine if beer isn't your thing. No deep fryer, but we make our own salsa and chili and our nachos are famous throughout the land. Try a char-grilled burger (beef or garden) with blue cheese and some tasty Tim's chips, chips and homemade salsa or a salad on the side. And our macaroni and cheese is good enough to make your mama cry.
