“Food & Drink in Seattle, WA”
Kedai Makan, a Malaysian food stand, was started in 2012 by Kevin Burzell and partner Alysson Wilson. The inspiration for Kedai Makan began with a trip through Southeast Asia, where Burzell decided that Malaysian food would be the cuisine he wanted to bring to Seattle. Kevin and Alysson operated Kedai Makan out of the Broadway, Virginia Mason, and Columbia City Farmers Markets before opening its their permanent location on E. Olive Way in January 2013. The two returned to Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar to learn about regional dishes, which they feature on their regular menu offerings and seasonal specials seven days at week, 4pm to 11pm, at their food stand in Capitol Hill. They offer a limited late night menu on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00pm to 2am.
