“who stocks it? no one knows...”
A bastion from a dying age, this old-school vending machine sits at the corner of John & Broadway in Seattle, baking in the sun, and causing customers to pause and ponder the origins of this ancient mysterious machine... Where did it come from? Who stocks it? What is the mystery flavor? These questions and many more await!
This was a fun stop we got a cherry Pepsi, cherry 7 up, orange Fanta and a Hawaiian punch. Fun quirky stop
yet another scenario to describe the haunted coke machine, It may have not been there for Morgymomo1303, however, when I arrived it decided to show itself from its cryptic wandering! I approached the machine with caution, only to find that this machine is not only haunted but clever! this machine has clearly figured out that other Pop Machines list what products they have inside only to be pillaged by local humans! this one has disguised it's bounty by having all of its buttons listed as "mystery"
I played its tempestuous game and as I dropped in its demands of 75cents I could hear the shaking and rattling of some foreign object to be dropped below, its bounty was revealed to me and inside I found a Pepsi One!
Seattle is a strange place, and the "Haunted Soda Machine" is a good example as to why. It's been there for years, but no one knows who stocks it, or when, and with all the mystery buttons, you never know what you're going to get. Heck, a lot of people are surprised to find cans that they didn't even know where in production any more.
A worthy diversion for any weird trip, even if just to see one of the stranger objects in the city.
I looked for this last month when I was down in Seattle and it was not there! Maybe it decided it didn't like the view anymore and decided to go for a stroll?
Hey fellow Roadtrippers! I just went to try to find this soda machine, and I couldn’t find it! I saw it back in 2018, and it looks like there’s been some new development in the area that the machine was in. It was a fun thing to see when we saw it though!
Looks like this machine has been removed as per Google street view 2019
What a interesting thing to do. Bring coins, the guy in front of me tried to use a dollar and he didn’t look successful in retrieving a soda. I got a root beer which was funny because that’s my favorite soda. Cute little stop if your in the area.
Very fun stop! The kids loved it and begged to go back.
Truly a mystery for the ages.
