The Mayflower Park Hotel was constructed in 1927, opening under the name of the Bergonian, and is the oldest continuously operating hotel in downtown Seattle. The building’s facade—complete with ornate terra cotta detailing—evokes a sense of history the minute the building meets your gaze. Walk inside and the high ceilings, stained-glass windows and a magnificent five-tier crystal chandelier reinforce the atmosphere of Old World charm. Smaller details like the 1770 Grandfather Clock and the 1810 English Mohagany Breakfront add hints of a classical European-style hotel, while each of the 160 guest rooms and suites offer all the modern amenities a savvy traveler has come to expect, from complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access to Aveda toiletries. The Mayflower Park Hotel is centrally located within Seattle, opening directly into Westlake Center and the Monorail Station located on the top floor, which puts the Seattle Center, Space Needle and Experience Music Project within reach.
