If you want to stay in the thick of it all, this is the place. Best access to Scottsdale and retail land. Also easy access to the bike trail (20 miles in and around town on traffic free paths). If there are events going on, you are in the middle of it all (which can be good and bad).

We recently spent 2 night here in the Q lot which is paved with 50amp service and water. There is a dump on site. The sites are narrow and not setup for lounging. On a busy day expect to have an up close and personal relationship with your neighbors.

The good.....in the city and easy access to shopping, dining and nightlife. Also we had access to 3 different horse shows, a polo tour tournament and an indoor RV show during our visit. Easy access for the biggest of rigs.

The bad.....it is a dusty place, especially around the barns. The water trucks run late into the evening and start up around 5am. We could also hear lots of announcements over loudspeakers until after 10pm. Our lot Q was across from the water fill station and on the main thoroughfare for barn/arena access, so busy at most hours. When all the events are going on there is almost no bandwidth on Verizon.

For us, the noise wasn’t that bad (nothing a couple of air conditioners couldn’t drown out) and the convenience of Scottsdale access outweighed the bad. We also enjoyed bumbling our way through all the different events taking place. But if you are a princess who needs silence or can’t get along without your weekend internet...look elsewhere.

Note when going into Westworld use the entrance off Thompson Peak Parkway/ McDowell Mtn Ranch Road to avoid the big events and go directly to the RV Operations Office.

There are good and not so good sites here. If you have a dog or need space, then make sure to only stay if you can get into their Polo Field lot with sites 21 or greater as these sites are wider and back up to the polo field with grass. Polo Field 20 or less are backed up to asphalt with a short walk to the grass. If you are just passing through for a night and need water and electric with a dump station on site, then any of their spots are okay. The sites in other lots are much narrower and not near any grass.

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting family in the area. We asked to be near the Polo field, and there was no problem staying there on a Thursday and Friday night (although we needed to leave early Saturday due to a Polo match that was slated for the day). There was a horse show going on during our stay, so there was a bit of traffic on the frontage road of the Polo Field.

Walking around the complex, we decided the Polo Field is the best area to stay, verses the other areas. The other areas were either dirt or pavement, some very narrow. We had plenty of room to spread out because were allowed to park perpendicular to the field, almost taking up two spaces. Nice when it isn't very busy!

We had called ahead for reservations but none were needed since we would arrive during business hours. I am not sure how they do late arrivals. There are no locked gates, so you are free to come and go.

Another reviewer suggested coming in the back way, but if you come in the main entrance and turn right in front of the Polo fields and continue past a horse area and some stables you will also arrive at the RV office on your left.

Employees were all very nice!

After being more remote and need a break, WestWorld couldn't have been a better place to stop.

We stayed on the polo field. It was nice to have grass instead of blowing dust for once.

Aside from clean bathrooms and a nice quiet place to stay, this place is a great location.

I spent a few days in the library here (Arabian Library) doing work. Additionally, there were three nearby auto parts shops as well as a ton of other stores. I needed to replace spark plugs and wires on the rigs so it made it a great place to that.

Finally, Tmobil worked awesome here with 20 down/12 up.

We needed electricity for several video conference meetings and decided to drop in to see if we could get a spot for a night or two and we were pleasantly surprised. This place is next to extremely busy Scottsdale but hidden away perfectly. It is really an event center (a huge one) and we took other reviewers recommendations and stayed next to the polo field. We picked an area w a few trees for some shade and glad we did.
This is a great place if you are visiting the area and want a low key location. Sites are spaced out a bit at this location. It looks like they have tons of other sites spread out around the complex (many are in dirt by horse stables probably for those events)
Great staff. There are bathrooms and showers but a bit of a walk. Overall worth it

We stayed here 2 years ago, tried again last year but it was Bike Week, and then again this time near the polo fields. We will return again because it is close to our family and convenient.

Walking around, it just seemed very tired this time. There was some trash, lots of weeds.

Restrooms were open and clean.

Dump station is free if you stay here. You will be given a code at checkin.

Positives - We stayed here because it was the closest RV park near our friends. The customer service was nice and worked to accommodate our visits.

Negatives - Once setup, we noticed how hard and warm the water was out of the tap. We never even needed to turn on our water heater. There is a free dump station with your visit, but would be nicer to have the dump at each RV site. Big issue was people started operating equipment at 5:30-6 in the morning. We are night owls and enjoy sleeping in past 6, so this was an issue for us.

All in all, we would stay here ONLY if other campground or RV parks are full during the time frame we will be visiting friends.

West World is an interesting place. Equine center with numerous RV hook up sites located throughout the complex. RV lots are oriented around various arenas and venues. The best sites are those along the side of the polo field providing great grassy access and nice views of the surrounding mountains. Each numbered site seems to have an A and B assigned to the W/E hook-ups. This seems an awkward configurations since the B hook-up would have to pull in forward in order for the awning side to be facing outboard (see photo). Limited bathhouses with showers which in some cases are a distance from the RV sites. While very clean, the bathhouses are pretty industrial (rows of urinals and toilet stalls and open squad bay showers). The complex seems a popular recreational place for locals when events are not occurring. Lots of dog walkers on the polo field and cyclists on the perimeter road. Not generally a destination campground unless you’re attending a horse event (we were here getting service work done on our rig) Nonetheless, a nice, clean and affordable short stay in Scottsdale area where most campgrounds are tight, high priced resort facilities.

This is a great spot to park basecamp and explore Phoenix; not to hang around the campsite!! If you want full hookups at a great price in a convenient (and super nice) part of town then this is your place! This is a rodeo/event space that has parking spaces available for camping (on asphault). Max stay 14 days. Sites on the Polo field are away from rodeo/animal stalls area and have great Mountain View’s. Bathroom/shower is across the parking lot/polo field. We stayed in Jan so I cannot say what summer months would be like here. And the interstate does run close but we didn’t notice the road noise while sleeping at all.

Very pricey for what it is. We’ve stayed in nicer casino parking lots. But the heat wave was going crazy, and we were desperate for a place to plug in and run the air conditioning for the evening.

The RV area is a parking lot tucked way in the back. We had a view of the dumpster out the back window, the access road out the front window, and our neighbors out both side windows. Sites were tight and the area was neglected in general. There was a pair of old socks caked into the pavement of our site like they’d been there for months. Our neighbors rig was leaking some type of liquid and nobody seemed to come around and notice.

We wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend it unless you and/ or your pets are running the risk of heat stroke.
