“county-operated RV park on a lake”
A comfortable, shaded view of this growing rural airport makes the Scappoose R.V. Park a special spot for picnicking and camping. So fly in and have lunch at the park! Located one mile north of Scappoose on U.S. 30. Turn east on West Lane Road. Drive 3/4 mile to Honeyman Road, and turn left. Located adjacent to the Scappoose Industrial Airpark.

Very shady with tall trees. Unfortunately, we are right next to a road which is very busy with heavy diesel trucks, running up and down the road which was only 50 feet behind our camper.
On the other side of the campground is the county airport, and airplanes were taking off and landing all day long. After sunset, the airplane traffic became mostly quiet.
After 5 PM, the truck traffic stopped, although we still had the noise of regular cars going up and down the road.
My wife reported that the restrooms were clean. Our campsite number 4 was deep enough that we could back in and remain connected with our trailer. these sites are easily long enough for motorhomes.
I would say that this campground is OK for an overnight stop over, however, it is certainly not a place to stay, if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Good for an overnight between Portland-Seattle. Does offer a dump station but isn’t free - $15 which I think is a bit steep considering you’ve paid already to stay. WiFi was strong and supported streaming for TV. Very quiet at night despite being so close to main roads.
