This is a pretty simple campground on Saratoga Lake just outside of the Town of Saratoga. the campground was pretty basic, with clean vault toilets, boat ramp, playground, dumpsters, and good power service at the electric sites. We stayed round Thanksgiving and were the only ones there for the week. A trip into the town is a must to experience the FREE Hot Springs! These were by far some of our favorite hot springs, with a very hot pool large pool (104-106), a smaller warm pool (90-95), and a fairly clean changing/shower house. These are those strongly sulfer smelling springs too that really make it feel like something different than a hot tub. Out of privacy for the other bathers, I did not take a photo of the pool but here is a link for more info (http://saratogachamber.info/play-here/things-to-do/mineral-hot-springs/)
The road in is paved/gravel and could use some maintenance, but it is short and completely manageable. Very quiet and peaceful place when no one else was around. Sites may feel a bit crowded if it is near capacity.

This campground is just north of Saratoga, just watch for the sign on the east side of the highway. It's very windy here so be careful not to leave your awning out when you aren't right nearby and if you are tent camping, stake down your tent well. The big shade trees are along the waterfront in the tent area. The RV sites are out in the open on the adjacent hillsides and are arranged a bit strangely (meant to be backed into, side-by-side). We managed to angle our trailer a bit to get a better view of the lake. The water spigots are located on the lower level hillsides. The dump station is located on the west side of the highway just south of the campground sign and it costs $5.00. The sunsets and sunrises over the lake and mountain range are just beautiful. We had great sandwiches and icecream at the Lollypop Ice Cream Shoppe in town. We went to the hot springs each day. The community pool is in the front and is not free but the hot springs are in the back of the community pool and are free to the public. The lobster pot pool was way too hot for us but the hobo pool was a comfortable temperature on the second day. We enjoyed the "made" hot areas along the river as well, which can be temperature adjusted just by moving a few of the rocks. The bonus was the free showers after soaking and visiting with all the others enjoying the hot springs.

Nice spot to camp for a few nights. Went golfing, dinner, laundry. Only complaint no fresh water to fill water holding tank and lots of bugs. Good thing we had electric to run AC and stay inside so the bugs didn’t get me at times. (Not all the time)

Previously the B level was the only level that had power (30/20amp). The C level had no hookups.
This year the C level has 50/30/20 amp hookups on all locations.
Same price for either level.

We stayed in a site with no hookups since we only needed to stop for 1 night. The sites are nice enough here and we had a good night's sleep. However, there were some shotgun sounds in the distance during the day, but nothing too loud. There's water spigots throughout the park, but none potable.
ATT signal looked good in terms of strength (4 bars), but fluctuated wildly in terms of speed. TMobile was roaming, but decent, and Verizon was solid 2 bars.
Saratoga has a nice resort with restaurant and brewery that we visited for dinner. There's a dump station across the highway for $5, again with no potable water.

I needed to plug in my electric heater for a few especially cold evenings, and for $15 a night I can't complain, and yet... There's a local 'learn to ride' motorcycle instruction group that used the area on the weekend (I'd assume regularly), and you'll hear the whine of two stroke engines pretty much from sun up to down.
There's a lake, not many trees, a couple of pit toilets, trash bins, a boat launch area, and a small children's playground. A non-electric site will cost you $10.

This is an easy access campground with room for large RVs. If you are towing and the CG is crowded, you will need to unhitch and back in. We came in late on a Thursday afternoon and camped on tier C. There is great, brand new 50 amp electricity on this tier. The campground itself is just a large, gravel parking lot but the view is very nice. The lake in clear and pretty. A number of birds in the area. When we started out for our evening walk, there were thousands of mosquitoes waiting in a cloud just outside the door. Walk cancelled. Only a few insects in the morning. There is a tent area along the shore that looks cozy but I suspect the insects are thick there! There is NO potable water here. NONE. If you are tent camping, be sure to bring enough water for your needs.

Don't miss Hobo Pool, a great hot springs in Saratoga. It is open 24/7, free (make a donation), and really hot. Today the temperatures ranged from 108-118. When you need to cool down just step around the corner and hop in the river.

$15 30 amp electric only, $10 no hookups. Arrived on Friday 1st come 1st serve honor system payment. Nice views of lake and mountains in distance. Approx 12 RVs here when we arrived. Can be windy.
We are here to soak in the free Hobo Hot Springs and explore Saratoga.
Very quiet, suspect it could be very busy in summer months. Great find for us!
