Would I use it again? I already use it a lot! This is my usual dump station when I get home from a long weekend of camping. It's set up for the usual two rigs at a time, one on each side of a concrete island containing the dumps and flush hoses. It's neatly kept by patrons. On a summertime Sunday afternoon, however, you're virtually guaranteed a line-up because it's close to home for many of us, and because it's free to use.
Flush water is provided, but no potable water is available. The dump island sits within a well-paved asphalt parking lot. Thank you to the Cottonwood Improvement District for making this facility available to RV'ers of the east side of the Salt Lake Valley!
What may not be apparent from the address is that you enter off of Viscounti Drive. Heading west from Highland Drive, please respect the signs and take the second driveway on the south side of Viscounti, and not the first driveway which the District prefers to limit to automobiles. The District doesn't have to provide this service, so let's abide by the rules so that this dump station remains open for all.
(FYI I substituted "busy-ness" for "noise" in the ratings -- it seemed appropriate for a dump station.)
Easy in and out (follow the instructions from past reviewer on where to enter). The only way to improve a free dump is to also provide a fill option or a place for trash, but still great!
Gate is always open - we came through late on a Friday night. Dump area is lit up. Make sure you have your own hose for flushing your black tank as they don’t provide one - at least not in November with the cooler temps.
This is a free service the city provides! The gate was open on a mid Sunday. There are two spots so you can avoid waiting in line. You have to provide your own hose. The area was clean and large making it easy to drive around.
This is my first choice in area. Easy to use, well equipped, etc.
Only issue is sometimes it is closed. Hard to predict.
Read the other review about how to get in so you don’t drive past it and have to double back.
Great dump site - very clean, spigot for black tank flush available, but bring your own hose. Site now charges $5 for non-residents.
2 stations- $ 5.00 non resident
Enter at side street (light)
Follow RV sign to 2nd driveway
QT code for on-line payment - or cash with provide envelopes.
East pull in, clean, water and more
Went on a Sunday morning. Facility was closed but still open for RV dump. Very nice and clean. $5 you can pay cash or use the online system. Very easy.
