My family overnighted here recently and I cannot recommend. We stayed in the John Wayne and Paul Bunyan rooms. The problem: bugs. I'm not sure if it was because there had not been guests in those rooms recently or the fact they were basement level rooms. There were several spiders and tons of boxelder bugs. They were everywhere in the John Wayne room. If we had arrived earlier I would have requested other rooms but we were exhausted and just made the best of a bad situation. The owner is pleasant and the historic home may be fine. But the "guest house" is to be avoided.

What an amazing place! The rooms and everything else in the house is beautiful and the guest lady, who runs it all by herself, is really nice. This is definitely a place I'll never forget!
