“We can be your big”
What can we be to you? A Restaurant? A Sandwich Shop? A Salumeria? A Wine Bar? Yes, Porcellino is all of these. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. That’s impossible. But over the years we’ve been listening to you, our neighbors, and watching the neighborhood and the city evolve, and we’ve created Porcellino to be flexible to your needs. We operated Incanto, our high-end restaurant here, for 12 years. And we’ve run Boccalone, our casual Salumeria in the Ferry Building, since 2008. In that time, we have evolved also, and we’ve decided it’s time for something new. For Porcellino, we wanted something in between; part Salumeria, mostly restaurant, and all based on the same delicious Italian traditions we’ve been bringing you over the years. We’ve taken the traditional idea of a Salumeria and an Osteria, combined and updated them into a casual, fun, neighborhood eating place. We have old favorites from Incanto and Boccalone, as well as new creations just for Porcellino. It will be mostly pork, hence the name Porcellino, the piglet. We’re open six days a week from lunchtime straight through dinner. Come by anytime, except Tuesdays when we’re closed.
