Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 21, 2022I wasn't expecting much from Candlestick RV Park based on reviews I had read. Though I wasn't expecting to be ripped off. If you want to use a credit card there is an exorbitant fee. We *were* going to stay for 6 nights, and the total was $474 if we paid cash, but if I used a credit card it would be $525 and they don't take checks. No where on their website do they tell you this and I wasn't warned when making a reservation. I asked if there was a ATM nearby and the man behind the counter said there was one outside. I asked how much was the fee. He said he didn't know (yeah right) because the RV park doesn't own the machine. Well it was $6.
We ended up staying 3 nights. It's a parking lot. The spots are extremely close and the owners are trying to gauge you every chance they get. Very disappointed.

This is the only place that makes sense to stay, especially when working in the city. And it isn't too much more expensive than other parks that are a lot further away. It is a parking lot, no grass, tiny spots, no way can you put your awning out. But it does stay pretty warm and sunny compared to the rest of the city. The rent has gone up by $25/day since last September. We are currently paying $1500/month or $1350 in cash. The laundry is decent but expensive. Last year they had beautiful flowers planted everywhere but this year they are all dead. There is a shuttle that takes you back and forth to China Town for a fee ($15 last year). It is also right next to Candlestick Recreation area which is a nice place to walk our puppy.

Literally the only good thing about this RV park is its proximity to San Francisco. Otherwise, it's cramped, ugly, mismanaged, and expensive. It's situated on a polluted plot of land that can't be zoned for permanent residence, despite the Bay Area's notorious housing shortage, and surrounded by a bunch of industrial properties.

Tim is the gentleman who checked us in. He got us a pull thru which was very convenient to get into. We are here because my girlfriend has to go to UCSF for a medical procedure. It’s close to the hospital. I saw the bad reviews but decided to come here anyway. It’s a pretty good spot. Its not much. It’s a big parking lot with great access to the city. They have great WiFi and I got att and Verizon service down here.

The streets are lined with homeless living in RVs etc leading up to the RV park and after, it smells like sewage. When arriving I was moved to 3 different sites, all of which I couldn’t fit into. The guy running the park blamed me for not telling him I have a tow vehicle... he did however know the length of my trailer and every spot he put me in wasn’t long enough for the trailer alone. I may have been able to back into the spaces but would’ve been hanging out a bit which I could’ve tried to deal with if it weren’t for the fact that I could not maneuver to back into any space because everyone that’s there has been there very long term and is living there. They all have garbage and debris overflowing their sites preventing me from backing in properly. The place is incredibly run down and dirty, it didn’t feel safe. I requested my money back which he did and then I left. I can’t believe that even being in the city, though the bad side of the city at that he’s charging $125 a night! I’ve been all over the country and I have to say that $25-$30 a night would be an extreme stretch realistically. Stay far away from here, it’s not safe, it’s not clean.

The “RV Park” is in an area surrounded by homeless camps, once you pull into the park, you’ll soon realize it’s a junk yard that people live at. Overloaded electrical outlets, piles of garbage everywhere, home appliances outside of RVs, pretty sure I saw a drug deal go down on my cameras last night after I saw people snooping around my trailer. San Fran code enforcement would have a field day here. The photos uploaded are very outdated. I uploaded current photos, let’s see if they get approved. We didn’t feel safe here, won’t come back, wont recommend. It’s a homeless camp.

A terrible place next to the torn down old Candlestick Park. We heard close gunfire all night one with 21 shots. Then at 10:30 PM an RV guided by their guard ran into the front of my RV. They did not knock on my RV to tell me and tried to deny it. I called the police and they told me not to leave until daylight as it was too dangerous and to only drive to the south straight to the freeway. Need I say more!

Only good point for this Rv parking is the proximity to SF... The rest is nasty, shower and laundry are old and smelly, the neighborhood is sketchy and dirty.
This RV Park is dirty...
