Its domed lobby ceiling bathes guests in natural light, and its floor-to-ceiling fireplace and grand marble staircase graciously invite guests to discover a luxurious experience that awaits. Over the years, the Union Square boutique hotel’s name has changed to Hotel Monaco and then The Marker San Francisco. And the hotel has been renovated and restored to its original glory, culminating with a 2015 renovation of its event spaces. In 2015, Destination Hotels assumed management of this historic downtown San Francisco hotel, ensuring that it and its guests are provided the best of care and hospitality into the next generation.
