We've stayed in sites both down by the lake and on the hill. Lake sites are packed in tight and very much a party seen on the weekends can be very noisy. Sites on the hill are great with fantastic views, quiet and lots of room, especially the outer circle.

Have never seen any skunks anytime we've been there.

We stayed at East Shore RV park because it was the closest place to Anaheim that had availability. At first when we drove in we were discouraged. The front part of this park is all people that live there for extended periods of time. Lots of junk surrounding their RVs. When you drive past them, you get to a more open area, where there is space between spots. We had a nice view of the lake below us.

We camped here to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit in Los Angeles. We came in on Wed and left the Friday that started Labor Day weekend. Good thing as they were booked that weekend.

This is kind of an odd situation. It is a private RV park but it is within a Los Angeles County Park. Therefore it is patrolled by LA County Sheriff's.

There is easy access from I10 but it seems to take a while to get to it in the park. However this makes it quieter. It is also close to Fairplex (LA County Fair).

The spots that were in our loop (A on top of the hill) were basically level from side to side but very off front to back. I had to crank my tongue down all the way to the limit of the jack and we were still about 1/2 a bubble too high in the front.

The major detraction from this park is the large amount of permanent RV's. It actually made it hard to exit the loop with all the extra vehicles parking very close to the street. Maybe the other loops are better, or worse!

The grounds are well maintained but you can feel the age of the park. It was surprisingly green given the drought we are going through. Perhaps they pump it from the lake below.

We would visit again as it is only 30 miles (1 1/2 hours) from downtown LA.

we are big, dumb newbie teardrop trailer enthusiasts, tow vehicle broke down on the way from la to joshua tree on 60 east-- whittier. (lovely place. nice people.) car acting dubious, should we go home or head for Joshua Tree? Dreading LA we called East Shore. We spoke with Liselle. Such a nice woman and concerned about our safety. though they would not refund reservation deposit if car couldn't make it, (big weekend bcuz drag races) they did have people on site who would come and tow us in if we died on the road! how sweet is that? & so nice at check in. if you are sam's club, ask them to SWIPE the member card instead of enter member # manually. got us 20% off instead of 10. got all set in just before big rain. sign in front says service dogs only (& mine is) so i thought not dog friendly but when we entered they were super excited to meet my very stressed aussie and gave him tons of love. extremely nice and professional.
a very nice neighbor helped me back in. really nice people. nice to dumb newbie--me. so nice not to be in LA. wow. view of lake even in dark in the rain is gorgeous. no wifi--no big.

Its a private RV park but lots of grass. Trails close by in adjacent park. Easy location for me to get to LA. Verizon seemed slow perhaps because of their internet but am not sure. The C site had great views of the water. Propane and laundry on site.

We've found ourselves talking about this RV park ever since we left it a few weeks ago. It's in a good location, close to Orange County and LA (assuming you aren't trying to make it there during rush hour), but still felt secluded from the surrounding cities. It's a short drive off the freeway and easy to access.

Each site is wide, paved, and there's a ton of grassy space between you and your neighbor. There are amazing views if you can get one of the spots on the edges of the hill. You'll probably be on a slope of some sort so be sure to bring your chocks/blocks/stabilizers. This is definitely an RV park where I'd invite friends and family over to hang out because there's so much open space - you won't feel like you're infringing on other peoples' property.

Didn't have trouble getting a good weekday site. Weekends is a different story. We were there Monday through Thursday. If we wanted to stay Friday we were going to have to move to a much less desirable site squeezed between two other RVs. That said, the view was fantastic. Good walking for the dog. Plenty of room to back in to the site. We could have stayed hooked up if we wanted to. However, the roads got tight in the evenings when a few too many people tried to park, often extending into the roads. Lots of long term residents.

Avoid the F section. Tight access on the roads and sites squeezed together.

Great sushi at Kazama Sushi in Claremont.

We stayed here a second time (the first time - covered in a previous review - was amazing), this time on a lower loop than the first. It made a huuuuuuuuge difference, it turns out. Around 10PM every night, the skunks came out in full force. It didn't matter how many people were out and about, how many camp fires were going, or cars going by - they didn't care. We were in a spot pretty close to a dumpster so we constantly had skunks underneath our trailer or at least within a stone's throw. They were pretty bold.

Our dog got sprayed by a young one before we had discovered skunks were a thing here, unfortunately. That was a late night.

The lower loop wasn't as spacious as the ones higher up (near the entrance of the park) but it was fine for the week of July 4th and we spent most of our time visiting family nearby, anyways.

So, yeah, I'd stay here again but maybe in skunk off-season or if I could guarantee a spot on one of the upper loops.

Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort & Campground (formerly East Shore RV Park) – San Dimas, CA
We stayed here for 10 nights in April 2019. At that time it was called East Shore RV Park but now has a new management company and name. We had a fabulous, large site with a spectacular view, site #A108, a Preferred Site. It was back in, level and had FHU, a paved pad, cable, picnic table and a very large grassy area. We had no wifi at our site, our Verizon 4G had 4 bars. Staff was efficient but not overly pleasant. This CG is built on a hill so it has different levels and areas with a variety of site types and sizes. Sites are well placed at 45 degree angles. Laundry room was large and sufficient. We did not check out the restrooms/showers. We would stay here again if we could get the same or similar site.

Right on top of a huge hill. Great views. Grounds are well manicured. Rates are a bit on the high end but worth it. Highly recommended. Verizon weak signal on the bluffs and worse inland. T-Mobile barely 500kbps download.
