“a glimpse back into 1872”
Currently the visitor information center for the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, the Robinson-Rose House was built in 1853 to serve not only as lawyer James Robinson's family residence but also as the home of the San Diego Herald, the San Diego and Gila Railroad office, as well as other private offices. It has on display a wonderful model of Old Town as it looked in 1872, but that's not all. Several different apparitions have appeared before park employees and tourists. Some are seen as cloud-like vapors while others look like people, dressed in 18th century attire.
This is the info center for Old Town Park. I wish more rooms were open for viewing. There is a wonderful miniature old San Diego model.
