There are only 4 other campers here currently. They offer full hookup sites, 50&30 amp with water and sewer as well as a separate dump station. The grounds were clean and some trees provide shade. The campground is located across from the park and the campground is gated with a code provided on checkin. The check in station is at gate entrance 2. You must check in before they close the park or else you won't have a gate code to enter the campground. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

We stayed here when it was clearly off-season - there were only a handful of other campers at the park - and it was enjoyable because of that. We got a site underneath one of the few trees available. The public restrooms were nice when we needed them after our toilet broke but we quickly found out they weren't regularly cleaned...
The only odd thing we encountered was that it's not "in" the park - you have to check in at the park, first, then leave and go across the street to a lot that serves as the RV campground. It would've been super dope to stay at the PARK park.
At the nightly rate, though, there isn't much to complain about.

This is a bare bones campground, but my favorite! We stay here frequently, for 2 weeks at a time. I LOVE that the campground is seperate from the park, with its own gated entrance. I usually call ahead and ask for the gate code. We drop the trailer and drive the truck to pick up tags. The week usually brings very few campers, mostly full timers who rotate through the park. Spots are large enough, that even noisy campers aren't a disturbance. There is quite a bit of freeway and train noise, but mostly in the evening. When there is motorcycles at the Raceway, they can be heard as well.
TIP: Glen Helen Parkway can get backed up when there is an accident on the freeway.

We had a reservation and arrived after the hour was closed, someone, an obvious long term resident was in our site. Went to the office and saw that there was someone still there even though the gate was locked so knocked on a window and the ranger told us to take any empty site except for 2 others that were reserved for the next night. OK, we picked out a site and were really happy that we were only staying here two nights.
There's no camp host, just a sign saying to check in at the office, but no directions to the office so we lucked out when another camper was able to give us directions.
The sites beginning with 20, on the outside look are barren, dirt and you have a view of I-15 up the hill behind you. If you stay I recommend the inside sites, 1-9 that are pull thrus with some trees.
Very noisy due to being close to the Interstate. Very dirty, dusty and just felt like it wasn't a very good decision.
Next time we'll find somewhere else to stay, we won't be back.

$30/night for full 50 amp hookup. We stayed on the outer loop, which is just dirt/gravel with a picnic table and a fire ring. No shade but we had no neighbors and lots of space. Sure there is highway noise and the occasional train but for the location you can't beat it. The facilities seem a little ran down and no camp host. But there are showers, bathrooms and Garbage.
You are located across the road from the main Park which has a lake, water park and HUGE amphitheatre.
The inner loom seems a little confined with neighbors next and between you. They do have some trees and grass.

This campground isn’t that wonderful. We stayed 12/28/19 in the inner loop that has power. There is a inner loop that is tightly packed that has electricity and an outer section that is very open. The road noise was enough to keep my husband awake although I slept through it. There is no iron ranger to pay at and to get an electric site online it’s 40.00 plus 7.99 online reservation fee. Essentially 50.00 to stay in a pretty mediocre place. You could get a small generator for two nights worth of a stay here and not need the electricity. There are some trees but they don’t do much to help with noise or privacy however I bet they help some with shade in the summer. The bathrooms are single stalls that don’t have electricity in them but are flushing.
Overall I really don’t think the cost is worth what you get here. I would only stay here in an emergency again, not on purpose.

this campground was chock full of garbage and broken glass. The facilities (even showers) are all charged for. For the nightly rate you just get hookups in a dirt-filled lot covered in trash. Honestly, this park is a disgrace. Walmart WOULD be better, as another reviewer said. AND The loudness from the interstate makes it hard to even sleep at night (you can hear it over an AC running).

Had A Reservation For Two Weeks. Horrified When We Entered The Gate. Looked Like A Homeless Tent City. Never Put The In Park. Drive Out Immediately And Went To The Park Office Across The Road. Rebooked At A Different County Park.

Pros - $30 for full hookups.
Access from both I-5 and I-215.
Short Drive to Glen Helen Park.
Security gate with keypad provides some security.
Within driving distance to mountains or inland empire cities.
Cons - Campground is covered in glass shards -
The county will not clean up the glass.
There is no pedestrian access to the campground - auto only.
Sites are dirt - get very muddy in rain.
Close enough to I-5 to hear loud vehicles without mufflers.
