Gabby and Clemente were great hosts and they have made the most of the property with the landscaping. The birds were everywhere in the morning. Lots of hummingbirds! We would definitely stay here again.

Gabby is a wonderful host! She has property just SE of the center of the city. On a few acres she has her family’s home, large front yard, and five spaces in the back. There is a picnic table area as well. Full hookups for $35 per night was the best price we could find within 20 minutes of the Alamo. Her property is just a quick 4 minute drive or short bike ride to the most southern of the Spanish missions, Espada. The spaces themselves are standard size for private campgrounds. Decent backing skills are required for these spaces. See google maps for the drives. The location is among an industrial area, but the direct neighboring properties are woods and a church. There is a gate to enter the drive. A key is required as you enter and exit each time. Overall, great find and we would love to return at some point!

This campground is tight, don’t expect much privacy or late night campfires. But if you want a super close and affordable location to the Alamo and river walk - this is your place. We dropped off the camper and went exploring, and came back for sleep. That’s all we wanted/needed! The owners are really nice and accommodating, they do live on site and have strict quiet hours. They give you a key to open/close the gate at the road when coming and going. Appx 4 min down the road is the Mission Espada and is definitely worth checking out (free), you can drive, walk or bike to it. And the river walk trail starts at Espada too - this is a 10 mile paved path that takes you to the downtown river walk area. We did not utilize it, but if we stayed longer I definitely would have! The path takes you past all of the missions and to the Alamo. The camp owners gave us a bike map to use for it. Would definitely recommend this place as a base camp.

Gabby and Clemente were wonderful hosts with a sweet little campground right at their home. Gated, secure, quiet, convenient to everything San Antonio has to offer. Our Hosts knowledge about the area and the printed maps and information they provided enhanced our stay. Twenty minutes to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, Briscoe Western Art Museum, less time to tour the Historic Missions. We arrived for a 3 day stay in pouring rain followed by cold wind and headed South just before the massive winter snow and ice storm hit. We were so happy with our stay we booked another 3 days three weeks later on our way back north so we could experience more of San Antonio in warmer weather. Our first stay was in spot #3, which was fine. Our second stay we backed into spot #1 and like it better. More greenery outside our window and an easy exit straight out of the driveway. We will be back, next time for a longer stay, with our own bikes to take advantage of the bike trails accessible right down the street.

We’re full-time, remote-working Airstreamers for nearly 2 years. Gabby and Clemente were fantastic hosts, and I feel like we found a hidden gem of a campground... and we’ve seen a lot of them. 15 min from the Alamo, when you first pull up a few seconds off the highway you’ll say, “Is this really it?” We were waved in through the open gate (that they give you a key to at check-in) and drove down the long driveway, only for a COVID-masked Clemente to guide us to their full-hook-up RV oasis behind their residence, unseen from the road. Five spots, specified truck/car parking spots right near your RV, and great Verizon signal more than suitable for streaming & remote work. Masked Clemente and Gabby both stopped by as we set up and gave us the rules and some brochures and answered our many questions. We have a dog ($5 extra per night), and enjoyed walking the 1/4 mile path around the fenced-in property a few times each day. Don’t forget to walk/bike over to see the nearby Mission Espada by the River Walk (15 min walk) - a site on the National Historical Park and World Heritage Site. Awesome place to stay for our San Antonio visit!

Loved this hidden gem of a campground. Walking distance to the mission reach bike trail and Mission Espada. We used our e-bikes to get around to all the missions and downtown area. Very quiet and cute, hosts are very nice. WiFi was pretty decent for a campground too! AT&T and Verizon cell signals worked well. If you come check out a local outdoor beer garden/bar called the AcquaDuck, less than a mile away. Dogs are an extra $5 a night (we had two) so the base price is usually $35. A great DEAL! We would highly recommend to anyway coming to the San Antonio area.

Stayed at this small delightful campground for 2 nights. Located southeast of San Antonio, near Mission Park and 11 miles from the Alamo, the location provides close access to several major highways. Campground offers 5 rv spots all with full hook ups. Several tent spots also available. Trees surround the camp and 2 RV spots provide some shade. Several picnic tables. Trash and recycling services available. We had to go under the trailer for hook ups at our spot - Rough Green Snake - but it was not a problem. Camp is secure with a locked gate at the entrance. Wifi available. Cell service was good. No shower or laundry facilities. Owners are very nice.

This place is all about location. It’s a great home base for exploring everything in San Antonio. Easy to get downtown, to the Alamo, seconds from one of the missions, and east highway access.
You are essentially staying in someone’s backyard where they have put in 5 RV spots. It’s fairly quiet and private but visually underwhelming, like not a place you need to sit outside and stare at the scenery all day-but chances are that’s not why you are in the area anyways.
Gabby and Clemente were great and friendly, texting us ahead of time, welcoming us when we pulled in the gate, assisting with parking and providing information on area attractions.
We would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting San Antonio.

Our hosts were beyond kind, greeted us with brochures of the local attractions, maps to the Missions, and great restaurant suggestions. We were lucky enough to visit the Tipi erected on the property, and enjoy a campfire with the other guests. This is a great spot to use as a base to visit San Antonio, it’s convenient to the missions and not far from downtown. I’d love to stay again. Hook ups are clean and in good condition, everything is spotless. Be sure to follow the instructions on entering, it’s unmarked for privacy.

We loved the proximity of this camp to San Antonio and the Riverwalk. The value is great and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. We felt very safe for our entire visit. The only downside is that I wish the immediate area was a little more walkable, but it's only a quick drive to get to the Riverwalk Trailhead. I don't remember how many bars we had, but we definitely had good service through AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
