Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on February 19, 2024Location is what this RV park is all about. It is 5 minutes by auto from Riverwalk. It is on the bus line - all you have to do is walk across the street and hop on to get downtown. The Mission Trail bike/walkway along the river can be accessed right from the park. This is a 21 mile path that runs along the river with access to the missions along the way. The only thing missing is a bike rental station right at the park, but maybe next year! The neighborhoods surrounding the park are definitely run-down, but never felt unsafe to us.
The sites are all very neat and tidy, with gravel parking and grass surround. Each has a concrete patio and a picnic table. Those in the back of the park are fairly well spaced, but in the front of the park they are so close you almost could reach out and touch your neighbor from your camper. We met some other Airstreamers here who said their neighbor had to pull in his slide-outs so they could get in their space. Mostly this place full of snow-bird big rigs, but there seems to be some children and families as well. The bathrooms are clean, but a bit old. Staff are helpful.
WiFi was actually pretty good here and there was a decent cable TV selections.
Be sure to follow the directions the staff give to get to the park, and not Google map directions! Access following Google will take you across a huge railroad crossing that will take out the bottom of your trailer.

A little older park and bathrooms are a bit dated but well taken care of. We had a pull through site and had plenty of room. Good power and water. A trolley stops out front that makes it easy to get downtown or get to the Missions. Friendly people. Right on part of the River Walk but it would be a 4 mile walk or bike ride. We certainly would stay there again if in the area.

Typically, we do not stay at RV parks but this was a good location. Only 10 minutes drive to downtown and the river walk and the Alamo. Also conveniently located to several other missions.
We had a pull through site with grass and a picnic table. Each site has full hookups. There is wifi in the park and it actually worked pretty well.
This park has an outdoor pool and a small laundry area.
We were very happy with the location and overall park.

This ended up being a pretty nice place! Pretty grounds, a nice pool and hot tub, shade, full hook-ups. Propane for sale on-site. It was a quiet campground and we slept incredibly well.
We wanted to be close enough to visit the Riverwalk and other area attractions. It felt perfectly safe and was a quick bike-ride to the San Jose Mission.
We did get half-off one of our nights with our Passport America discount.
Friendly staff and clean grounds made this a nice place to stay.

We lucked into one of the more 'spacious' sites on the property and booked a month (then extended by a few days). Our $19/night price reflects the monthly rate (not including electric bill).
The park offers wide asphalt roads and gravel sites with concrete pads and a picnic table. Both back in (mostly used for monthly) and pull-through) shorter term sites are available. Each site is FHU, but water pressure is an issue (it's high!) so bring a regulator (or purchase one for a reasonable price at the office.)
Sites aren't super spacious, but do provide some space (ranging from 10ft to 30ft) between neighbors.
While the RV park is older, management and employees keep this place looking sharp. Management and employees also seem to have a vendetta versus fallen leaves, and take it upon themselves to leaf blow the entire park thoroughly everyday - sometimes multiple times a day.
The pool and hot tub are cleaned daily, open year round and kept at a palatable 83º, while the hot tub is kept at 103º. Both pool and hot tub were even open when it snowed one evening in December. (Open 10am-10pm)
The park offers a brand new small, but decently stocked fitness center and a yoga room where they play a yoga video each morning at 9am and all guests are welcome to get their namaste on. There is also a pretty nice library, a guest computer, and a game room with ping-pong, air hockey, pool, puzzles, and a television. (Open 8am-10pm)
The RV park is adjacent to the Riverwalk's Mission Reach portion, about 4.5 miles from the downtown Riverwalk area. Bike rentals are available along the Riverwalk.
Apparently you can catch a bus at the busstop right in front of the park office to go downtown, but we chose to use Uber/Lyft ($8 ride) when we didn't want to bike or drive downtown.
For the first few weeks of our stay a train came by at about 4am each morning and made its presence known, but for the latter few weeks of out stay the train and its lovely little horn were MIA. (We weren't sad)
We did note that the Verizon tower seemed to get overloaded at times, slowing to a crawl in the evenings. Our AT&T was consistently slow. Park free WiFi was usable most of the time, although in the evenings it got a bit bogged down. We did not pay to 'upgrade' the park WiFi package, but apparently that is an option. Cable hookups are offered at each site.

We chose this resort because of its location. You can bike, take the bus or even walk downtown (a bit long though: 5 miles). Clean and fairly quiet campground. Small sites not very leveled. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Water pressure is very high (I like it). Make sure you use a pressure regulator. Pool and hot tub. Close to a golf course. Neighborhood is so-so (it seems that everyone has 2 or 3 dogs, sometimes unleashed in the streets) but you are just by the river path so you can avoid it easily. Paid $48.50 after Good Sam discount.

We stayed here for a whole week amidst the NCAA Championships. The park was very well maintained. The showers/bathrooms were clean. The pool sparkled! The laundry facilities were clean as well. The sites were a bit tight but easy to get in. Make sure you have hose and electric extensions as the hook ups are on the wrong side here (at most sites). You can hop onto the Riverwalk path right from the campground. The surrounding neighborhood doesn’t seem like the best but the park itself was quite nice.

Clean and friendly. Sites have enough space. We met a couple of the long term residents who were helpful and friendly, which gave a comfortable feel to the campground. There is a bus to downtown across the street and the office gave out a bus schedule. There is a walking trail along the river with access next to the front gate. No reservation but by 4pm it was full, in April.

We truly enjoyed this park. Park has bathrooms, showers and pool. Beautiful, green and well kept. We did the $2.75 all day bus pass and the bus stop is right across the street from the park. The bus was great in the day but a little sketchy at night. In hindsight we should have paid a little more to do Uber. Overall a great stay. Nice and quiet.

Access and interior roads are easy. Good signage throughout. Office and grounds staff all do a great job.
Site size is nice for an urban park with options in the trees and open sky. Permanents are nicely maintained along the front row. Back row back-ins have open green space over the fence. Pullthroughs in the center are good size.
WiFi worked well for us. Utilities easy to set up and access. Clean gravel with concrete pads and newer picnic tables. No fire rings - yay!
Swimming pool, laundry room, showerhouse, dog runs, community center all look nice although we didn't use any.
We ended up extending three nights because there's so much to see in San Antonio. A lot of it near the park. River Walk runs beside the park, good for those with bikes, but a bit of a hike to downtown for those on foot. Bus picks up in front of park for access to everything.
Some music noise from neighbors over the fence and an every night alarm that went off for ten minutes. Hopefully neither of these things are all the time.
