“walking paths & hiking trails”
Red Butte Garden, a part of the University of Utah, is a non-profit organization located in Salt Lake City, Utah. With over 100 acres including display and natural gardens, walking paths and natural areas with hiking trails, Red Butte Garden is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West that tests, displays, and interprets regional horticulture. Throughout the summer perennials and annuals are at their peak. Don't miss the wide variety of roses along the Floral Walk and in the Rose Garden. Fall brings new colors with oranges, reds and browns and a collection of grasses that sway in a light breeze and seed heads that shimmer in the autumn light. Every season has Garden magic with 324,000 spring bulbs giving way, first to a tapestry of brightly colored summer flowers, and then to fall grasses and leaves and finally, winter white with red twigs and branches.
I really enjoyed this Garden! it was very pretty. lots of flowers were in bloom While I was there. they have a far amount to look at. a pond, a rose garden, lots of different kinds of flowers that were well marked with signs. I found and used several walking trails. not sure how extensive they are.
when I was there they had an event going on. it was some kind of play that a group of kids were putting on. I really enjoyed hearing the music from it near the beginning of the park.
there's also a semi interactive area for kids there. I just glanced at it so not sure how much is there. but I did hear a lot of laughing and yelling from kids that seemed to be having a good time.
I would go back again for sure.
