Not many obvious nearby hikes but nice to wander about on the desert flats.
Very subtle sound of highway in the distance. Some Milky Way visible by night.

Vicksburg BLM is an unmarked area for camping, just a few minutes from Hope, AZ. There are several large areas for any size RV. Good Verizon LTE in some areas, especially the area I marked for the GPS location in my video . Good access to the nearby mountains. If it's been raining you should take a quick recon before going in.

Great spot for any type of rig! Quick shot off the main highway. I stayed here because I wasn’t going to make my destination by nightfall and it turned out epic. Lots of huge spots for any rig. A few wash crossings past the main camp site and the land is yours to be had. Caution for those wandering through the land as there are open mines all over. Sunsets and sunrises that rival the best. Quiet & secluded. Coyote activity in the early mornings will wake you to catch the sunrise but not a downside in my eyes. Great find!

Decent access road and easy to find. Apparently good OHV riding because it's busy with off road riders. Not a lot of quality sites for longer term, but a few do have nice views of the valley plain and surrounding mountains. Train tracks are only 1/2 mile away which of course seems especially loud at 3am. Hwy 1 mile so not bad. I would stay here again, but not in the heart of snowbird season.

This is a great place to boondocks, flat area with nice area to hike. Large empty area and when we were there not a lot of people ( April 2019). If you drive up the main road, the pavement will end. We turned slightly to the right on a dirt road for about a half mile if that and pulled into a dirt finger on the left. No issue, from the near by highway and great night skies. We will absolutely return to here.

Stayed here to avoid the crowded experience of Quartzsite and surrounding areas. This was a very quiet, secluded area with beautiful scenery. Because of the Covid, there were few campers here. Ramblin Roads RV Resort was 3 miles down the road for replenishment of water and dump ($20), with Propane extra.
There is plenty of Hiking and trails to explore with off-road vehicles. Some history in the area as well, with the Desert Queen Mine in the foothills nearby.
Stayed here close to a month in a 40' Motorcoach, and will be back next year. Cell Phone service was good with internet available.
Centrally located between Bouse and Salome, for groceries (Dollar General's at each location).

This is a huge BLM area with easy access for large rigs. Several roads branch off to many boondocking spots. There is probably room for a 100 camp spots out here but we only saw about 8 people the entire time we camped. Just pick any road and you'll find plenty of flat camping areas to choose from.
Only saw two off road people travelling around and they rarely came down our side road. Weather was a beautiful 70 to 85 degrees for the high during our stay and not too cold at night so great timing in March. We will definitely come back here again.
We had 10-15Mbps download and 5Mbps upload with both T-Mobile and AT&T. Plenty to stream TV and anything else. Cell service was good all over the area when I did some hiking.
You can dump and get water at the local RV campground although I ran up the road to Bouse to the city park and they charge 5 cents per gallon but don't take garbage.

TURN RIGHT!! Gravel Trucks haul fast with big clouds of dust down that road that goes straight all day. After pavement ends make the right turn. Miles of parking. Perfect for people like me who are still learning how to back up. Because you don’t have to.
This BLM spot was a pleasant relief. I just came from Quartzite, Lake Havasu, buckeye, Pichacho Peak and Tuscon BLM areas over the last 2 and a half months. This is my favorite spot of all. It’s clean, quiet, smoking T-Mobile service, short drive down dirt road, no domestic abuse yelling, no drug paraphernalia and you can pee in your front yard in peace without any ATVs kicking dust in your face.
The Salome restaurant was excellent and had a huge menu and desserts. There was a Mexican restaurant 3 miles, 2 Truck stops 9 miles and a road runner market 15 minutes. Quartzite is 30 minutes and Phoenix airport is 1 hour 30 minutes.

Gorgeous... was alone until sunset when a camper van came in, about 300 yards away, (and left at sunrise). Tons of space. Heard 2 trains, only one blew its horns. Gravel trucks came down the road about 100 yards away, (from my site- would be farther from most others), but they didn't start running until 8 or 9am. Would definitely go back!
