Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on June 04, 2022Woke at 4am to a hooded burglar right outside our window. He cut a huge lock with lock cutters and stole our expensive road bike. Scarred us and our children terribly to be confronted with a burglar inside the RV park. The Police came and told us the area has murders, heroin dealers and many transient people. 24/hr surveillance on the property doesn’t pass muster. Would never stay here or recommend.

Nice grass and concrete sites with a lot of class A’s. Not the best part of town nor amenities around. Pool was open, laundry and workout room look well maintained. Not a bad overnight stop but I would not stay longer than a day or so.

We stayed for one night during a long drive south. We arrive just before the office was about to close, so our campground map was waiting for us in the overnight box. We stayed in pull-through site 12, which was a site right on the end of the row near the entrance. The site was shorter than the other sites in the row, so we had to park our truck sideways across the front of the site (our rig is a 37-foot fifth wheel). It’s possible that was the best site they could give us: our reservation was a bit last minute. The site pads are paved with grass making up the rest of the site. Some sites had tall leafy trees between them providing some shade. Our pad was level.
The campground is clean and well-landscaped, which may be why only certain areas of the park as designated as pet areas. We alternated between walking our dogs outside the front of the campground and in the on-leash area next to the dog run in the front half of the campground: the off-leash dog run was just a bit too muddy to use due to the rain we had when we arrived.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was about 22bps down and 8Mbps up, and other than the occasional buffering we had no trouble steaming video the night we were there. The one speed test I did with my AT&T phone showed 30Mbps down and 13 up.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Campendium is not the place for RV park reviews, as you can see from the ratings below. People review them as campgrounds, which they are not. RV parks essentially are bring-your-own-room hotels. In that context, of course they have limited space between sites and are in town, and so forth. That’s what people are looking for at an RV park, plus full hookups, pool, laundry, etc. they are meant to be low-effort, easy to get in and out, and convenient. This park is just that. You’ll see mostly high-end RVs here that stay for a while, and will have everything you need to be comfortable, but if you want to camp, go to a campground and don’t slam the park by reviewing it as something it is not. You’ll notice it’s a 10-10-10 on Good Sam, and that’s closer to accurate. The only real detractor here are proximity to the freeway and the resultant background din. They could have been more amenable to my request for an alternate site as well, as they were about 1/3 booked when I arrived and were put off by my request, which seemed strange to me, though they did honor it after some grumbling. It’s also annoying that the gym isn’t 24 hours, and doesn’t open until 9AM which kind of rules it out for a morning workout. I’d also prefer the hot tub be out in the open like the pool instead of set back in an alcove which is pretty uninviting. But it’s a well maintained, pleasant RV park that is ultra convenient for a stay in Salem.

We have family in Salem, and this is our "go to" place when we are in town. The staff is FABULOUS. Very friendly. The park in clean and well maintained. The spaces are concrete and level. Grass between the spaces. All the spaces are pull through and long enough to handle any sized rig. So, take it from an (almost) local... this is THE place to stay when you are in the Salem area.
