“part of the Roswell Museum and Art Center”
Comets, quasars, black holes—the night sky is filled with things wild and wonderful. Like the imagination of a child, space is beautiful and boundless. The 120-seat Robert H. Goddard Planetarium presents star shows, multi-media presentations, and hands-on activities for children and families that help us understand the changing universe and the impact of space science on our lives. At special times throughout the year, the Roswell Astronomy Club presents Star Parties at the Planetarium, using their telescopes to view events in our solar system. The Planetarium was opened in 1969 as a collaboration between the Roswell Independent School District and the Roswell Museum and Art Center.
