“Camp on beautiful Roosevelt lake”
Located on central Arizona’s largest lake. Campfire or special interpretive programs about native wildlife, vegetation and cultural history are available upon request. For further information, contact the district ranger. There are 9 separate loops w/ toilets, shower bldg, playground, event area, sports field, lake access trails, and paved boat launch. Individual camp units have fire rings w/ grills and picnic tables. Loops accommodate up to 100 people for RV or tent camping and picnicking. Directions: This site is approximately 8.5 miles south of Theodore Roosevelt Dam. From Mesa: Take State Hwy. 87/Beeline Highway north for about 60 miles to its junction with State Hwy. 188. Turn right and follow State Hwy. 188 for 33 miles to its junction with State Hwy. 88. Continue on State Hwy. 188 south for another 7.5 miles to Forest Road (FR) 84/Grapevine Group Site. Turn left onto FR 84 for 2 miles to the site. From the Globe area: Take State Hwy. 188 west for 23 miles to its junction with FR 84/Grapevine Group Site. Turn right onto FR 84 for 2 miles to the site.
