Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 11, 2023We stopped here for one night while on our way to Jackson Hole, WY. This is a great rest area which, being in Idaho, allows people to camp overnight in their RV. It has a beautiful scenic view, picnic tables, real bathrooms with plumbing, and vending machines. We were pleasantly surprised when we woke up to see such a great view!
There are separate areas for cars and RV/truck parking, so make sure you park in the area with the extra long parking spots for RVs.
There were a few 18-wheeler trucks that parked there the night we did, but none had their engines running at night so it was fairly quiet.

We stayed here 2 separate nights, 9/6/19 and 9/10/19. Once on the way to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and once on the way back on our recent trip for our blog, www.thestokefam.com
Both nights, there were only 2-3 other campervans and/or semi trucks on site and we had no problem finding a parking spot for our 22 ft campervan rental from Wandervans.
You are limited to 8 hours and cannot set up camp outside your vehicle. There was great cell phone coverage with Verizon.
No hookups, of course, but the bathrooms were incredibly clean and we were stoked to wake up to a killer view!

We stayed one night in our popup camper here. Semi quiet but close to the road. The view and clean bathrooms made up for it! Highly recommended.

Beautiful are with a view of the snake river. We viewed osprey and a pair of bald eagles while there. We highly recommend this place for an overnight stop. We stayed in the lower area where the picnic tables are. We stayed here in a class C motor home.

Goggle says it’s temporarily closed.
Arrived after a long travel from Wyoming. Stayed overnight. Considering that this is a rest area, it was relatively quiet except from a truck that was running its generator whole night which is expected when you stay in a rest area. Beautiful scenery to the river though.
