“See some of the area's earliest recorded history”
Enjoy a guided tour of the largest known petrogylph site in the Verde Valley, home to thousands of ancient Native American rock paintings. This heritage site is one of the best preserved in the United States and was acquired by the Coconino National Forest in 1994. The heritage site is protected by law and kept open to the visiting public for their enjoyment and opportunity to learn more about our national cultural heritage.
This place is only open on select days of the week! We did not pay attention to the operating days/times and drove out to find a locked gate. Bummer! Don't make the same mistake!
